Went there, while on break from instacart... paid $20 ( ALOT for a sandwich & smoothie; ESPECIALLY considerin the following complaint), and got the worst sandwich/ smoothie ever. The sandwich was such a plain Jane 2 slice turkey, w/ 1 cheese on white bread, heated up. The smoothie was literally ( & I watched!) two scoops of yogurt powder, 1 scoop of sugar melon color/ flavor, n big scoop of half blended ice scoops ( yea, she- the employee- didn't even fully blend). After she gave me my smoothie, I waited 5mins for the Sammy, before I asked, " where's my sandwich." I even tried to chat her up, to patiently wait for said sammy, and she seemed rude n disturbed bc I think she thought I was chattin to pursue her romantically. Then, she seemed to be rushing me out the door, I inquired indirectly about their hours/ store & learned they were closing ( it was 4 or 5pm!!) I asked y they closed so early, & what were they gon do w/ the donuts ( there were lots, like 50 to a hundred. I nicely asked to try 1 free ( bc I'm broke, & they're prices r high af, like i said) assuming they'd trash em & SHE SAID NO! Her reply was, " we donate them." My response was, " ok, we'll can u donate 1 TO ME?" In my defense, I AM a working community member, and I did JUST BUY a sammy & drink lol. C'mon, lady🤦 So, yea... Texas Donuts sucks. If they're a chain, I sincerely hope they go out of bu'ness, AND, out of our community. If they're family run AND from our area, I hope they take note & improve. My review, if I had to choose 1 out of 10, they deserve a -5, yes I said...
Read moreOVERRATED and UNDERWHELMING!!! Owners are not friendly and not welcoming to certain customers. The manager or the owner’s daughter refused to help the gentleman that was helping us so we had to wait a long time. Maybe they were really good when they first opened but the donuts are mediocre. I’ll stick to Duck Donuts and Krispy Kreme. The donuts are very dense and too airy. The Cronuts at Shoppers are way better and the apple fritter is better at Krispy Kreme. Super expensive ice coffee ($7 for two small ice coffee) and oh yeah you have to put your own cream and sugar. The ice coffee at McDonald’s taste better and you can get a large for less! We had a big order and the owner’s daughter didn’t bother to help the gentleman that was helping us. She was not friendly at all but she was VERY friendly to the white folks (please calm down, I’m not racist, just my observation) that came in. Let’s just say she made sure they were well taken care off first and she was definitely catering to them. It didn’t matter what she was doing, she made sure that she looked up and greeted every single one. The gentleman that was helping us asked her if she was making our breakfast sandwiches and she said “NO” and walked away. We waited awhile because of the breakfast sandwiches we ordered. It was our first and last time there and we will...
Read moreA great place for a morning meal. The Texas donut franchise started in Texas (what a surprise there), then opened stores in Texas, and currently has stores, like this one, in Virginia. The franchise started in 2002 and there are currently stores in Lorton, Manassas, and Centreville, This store is located at the southern corner of Sudley Manor Drive and Ashton Ave. It is on the corner of a small group of stores facing Ashton Ave. There is plenty of parking in front of this store or the adjacent stores. The store is long and thin with a counter with donuts, kalaches, and sandwiches. Coffee and tea are available on a self-serve basis by the front door. The staff was very friendly and took our order as soon as we were ready. I ordered an egg croissant sandwich and it was one of the best I have had. The price for the sandwich was very reasonable at about $4. There are about three 2-person round tables against the window opposite the counter and next to the entrance along with a low counter with some chairs. Overall, it was a very pleasant breakfast experience thanks to the great staff, good prices, and excellent...
