Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Virginia

A delivery driver from Jimmy Johns nearly killed me and my child today! I was driving on PW Pkwy headed towards Manassas. About 12:00 on 3/11/19 a red car driven by a black man with a Jimmy Johns delivery sign on top nearly failed to stop at the red light where Minnieville meets PW Pkwy. Maybe the Jimmy Johns driver was trying to turn right on red without fully stopping. The delivery driver stopped with his nose sticking out onto PW Pkwy and I had to veer around him while being careful not to hit the cars around me also going 40 mph. If I had hit the Jimmy Johns delivery car the accident would have been horrific. Once I cleared the PW Pkwy - Minnieville intersection, the Jimmy Johns driver finished turning right on red and quickly caught up with me and passed me on PW Pkwy. There was construction by the Chinn Library today and the Jimmy Johns driver weaved aggressively around the construction and turned right as if he was headed to the Chinn library so he could, presumably, return to the Jimmy Johns at Merchant Plaza at breakneck speed. Previously (before quarantine) I placed an order at this location and received my order an hour and 40 minutes later. After calling three times on the status each update was that they would have it to us as quickly as they could. Never once offered a refund or points to get a free sandwich- nothing to make their mistake better. I’ve quit ordering delivery and have been doing pick up, which has been fine. Today however (during quarantine/covid), our family decided to place an order for delivery because we had a promo code. Within the app I never found where to place the promo code, but proceeded with the order because we were hungry. Our delivery was made within a normal amount of time with this order, however the drink was forgotten. The delivery guy had an “oh well” attitude about it and again didn’t offer anything to correct their mistake. I love their sandwiches, I ordered from Jimmy Johns all the time while I lived in GA. I finally tried a Jimmy John's and was a bit disappointed. I usually go to Jersey Mike's and feel they are a bit pricey, but the quality of the food is excellent and they are huge. Jimmy John's just does not pass. I ordered the Lulu Club and at first I didn't think it had any bacon inside. It did, but it was the thin, soft microwave bacon, not the crispy, fresh fried bacon like Jersey Mike's. Second, the cost is more affordable, but that is because the sub is so much smaller than Jersey Mike's. I'd say they are a step above Subway and the Lulu Club was flavorful but missing the bacon taste and crunch. Would I go again? Not if there is a Jersey Mike's nearby. One last note, for a sub shop, they should have more cheese selections, well they should have a selection period. All they have is provolone.
