Kelly's Tavern — Restaurant in Virginia

I normally do GrubHub as takeout but years ago I tried Kelly's nachos and they were good so I figured if I'm out I would try to order them again. I ordered them the first time got great service on the phone picked up the nachos they were delicious. A few days later I was out and decided to order again the guy on the phone was rude I said I would pick them up in about 20 minutes and he huffed and puffed and said just order when you are ready. I said I'd go ahead and pick them up the box was wrapped in cellophane because he said there was so much when I took it home there was so Much chips. Between the first nachos and the second set Days apart total difference it was dry not much of the white chili not much of anything but a lot of chips. I don't know if the guy was mad because I had the audacity to ask him if I could be there in 20 minutes instead of five but for Near $18 I was very disappointed and could not eat it so I took it back the next day and asked for my Money backAnd to show The manager how bad it looked And tell her the way the guy was on the phone. The girl was upset that was there And was doing her job, said the manager would call me and refund my money. The manager never called and I am still waiting for a refund. I called to ask If I was even acknowledgedand the manager proceeded in saying You will get your money back and started making excuses sayingwe don't make a special time for you to pick The food up. So it's OK for her employee to huff and puff and be rude to customers on the phone. She said nachos should not be a takeout that's funny that's my favorite food I get GrubHub delivered from BJ's restaurant all the time and when they messed up once the manager was Apologetic and even comped my meal without asking for it back and said you can pick up nachos for free next time. I am not looking for a freebie I am expecting the management to handle this in a professional way which was not done. I get nachos also from Plaza Azteca and another Mexican restaurant near kilm Creek and they are Great tasting so it's not about the pick up. I don't know how long this manager has been there but clearly she does not do her job. I would highly suggest food at BJ's or any other restaurant where a manager is really a manager. And unless you wanna come out of there smelling like an ashtray I'd highly not recommend going in there. Not only do you have rude people, bad managers, bad food but the place smells disgusting cause People are allowed to smoke And apparently they don't care about...

I have delayed writing a review due to frequent visits to your establishment. I have observed a consistent issue with the bartenders, distinct from the commendable efforts of the wait staff on the floor. The bartenders consistently provide poor service, exemplified by instances such as asking about specials only to be met with a dismissive "nothing," despite numerous promotional posters. Tonight, Jennifer, a bartender who claims to have served us for 12 years, displayed unprofessional behavior and deflected responsibility onto a server for a mistake with an order. When confronted about an incorrect beer order, her response was confrontational and unhelpful.

This incident is not isolated to Jennifer; it reflects a broader pattern of disdain among all bartenders towards their roles, adversely affecting customer experience. Conversely, the service provided by servers in the pool area has consistently been courteous and helpful, despite the challenging environment.

Given my background in customer service-oriented roles, both personally and professionally, I find it regrettable that the standard of service at Kelly's has declined to a point where we no longer dine there. Instead, our visits are limited to pool and music, often hindered by poor sound quality.

Whether due to changes in management or otherwise, the decline in service quality is evident. Regrettably, I cannot recommend Kelly's to others. To the bartenders, I suggest reconsidering your employment if dissatisfaction persists, as it unduly...

I go here almost every Saturday and I really like it there. The female bartender is awesome and has always been friendly and helpful when our not so enthusiastic waitress in the pool area doesn't feel like doing her job. I dont even know her name. She's tall and skinny. She obviously is only there to mingle and not work. I doubt I will be back again. I miss the short lady who waitressed. She was awesome as well. But this one waitress no matter what just doesnt care about her job. I shouldn't have to keep hunting her down because she forgot something from our order or to get the check. If she just got it right the 1st time then I honestly wouldn't bother her. I'm a very easy person to please. Just make sure my order is right. After that if I need a drink from the bar I will just walk up there myself. I like to tip. But with a piss poor attitude you wont get much tip from me. And it's really sad because the amount of people that goes in there to shoot pool if you have a great attitude you could make a killing off tips alone. I honestly dont know who the manager is or I would have complained. Like I said we go in there every Saturday almost. It has always been my hang out spot. But I'm seriously looking for another spot. Tired of piss poor service. The only thing keeping me there are the people, the bar tender and a few of the other workers. The food is good and the people are friendly. So why cant this one waitress get it...
