July 13 at 11:07pm · REPOST My husband just got home from working a 13 hour day to share a story with me that has left me completely shocked. Around 7:00 tonight he took a small break and went to the drive through of the Mcdonald's at Parham Road and Route 1. He was in uniform and his police vehicle. He paid for his food and drove forward to the next window. The young man who was working that window looked at him and backed away from the window mouthing something to my husband. My husband couldn't hear him since the window was closed. The guy finally walked to the window and slid it open. My husband told him that he couldn't hear him and the guy said "I ain't serving no police" and closed the window. The guy proceeded to tell everyone in McDonald's, including the manager, that he was not going to serve the police. The employees stared at my husband trying to figure out what they should do.....after all he had paid for his food but no one wanted to give it to him. Finally one guy brought it over to him without a single word. As my husband pulled around the building, a gentleman who was in the McDonalds at the time approached his car and told my husband how he had never seen anything like this. He said the guy had told the manager that she could fire him but he wasn't going to "serve the police". The manager did nothing to help the situation and wasn't even the person who brought him his food. It's amazing that people can act this way but even more shocking that the manager allowed him to continue on with his antics. I know that we will never visit this McDonald's again! This is such an eye opener for me as to what the people who protect us have to go through on a daily basis. Please pray for the men and women who serve and protect us and put their lives on the line for us each...
Read moreA five star review on a fast food chain like McDonald's is a strange thing to write, but this specific location deserves it. I've lived in the area for the last five years, occasionally stopping by this McDonald's but never really paying attention. It's McDonald's- you'd be lucky to get your order correct and served within 10 minutes through drive thru, right?
That's why I'm so surprised with this location. They've always been super friendly, sociable, speedy, and accurate. I've never had service like this from a fast food chain in my life! It makes me happy whenever I stop by for breakfast, or later when I need a snack.
I had a horribly stressful day. My coworkers were at war, I was placing orders left and right, and I left two hours late. I stopped by for a fast dinner and found a coupon for a free bakery treat for my birthday in a few weeks. I redeemed it- I needed something sweet. Three separate employees wished me a happy birthday. I didn't realize how much I needed that, even if it wasn't quite accurate. Maybe they're required to pass that along. But it meant a lot in the moment.
Currently the managers and staff here are doing an excellent job. I'm thankful for the friendly and skilled employees who made my garbage day a little...
Read moreAgain they have failed to even take the most basic of orders. This place has really lost their quality assurance. I'd recommend going somewhere else
All good things must end I suppose. Went through the drive thru for just 2 large Dr Peppers. Not only could they not handle that, but even after I correct three different employees they STILL could not get it right. The lady that took my order put it in as a diet so I corrected her. Then at the first window where I paid I had to correct them again. At the last window they tried to give me the wrong order. I told the lady I was suppose to have 2 large dr peppers, to which she asked "Diet?" NO. REGULAR DR PEPPER. And then she still gave me the diet ones after questioning if I had paid already. What the hell. How does a place mess up an order for two drinks that bad. Sad because this place used to be great.
Old review no longer applicabIe : don't know how but this McDonald's has been consistently far above all the others I've ever been to. It's always clean and my order hasn't been wrong yet. When the drive-thru is full I can go in and order and the order is ready by the time I finish...
