Placed an order for take out and came there only for them to not have our order placed. We called the correct number and had our name down and order and everything but a mistake happened where somehow the order didn’t get taken down and printed in a ticket. The staff made us the order anyways in a timely manner. However, when we got home the wings we ordered were totally wrong. We got 8 wings when we ordered 12, the wings weren’t tossed in sauce (it was on the side in containers), they were dry and over cooked, and had barely any meat on them with half broken bones. We came back and explained and got a full refund and they remade our order a second time. While waiting I witnessed the cooks touching food with their bare hands including scooping the wings with their bare hands and throwing them in the fryer. I also saw a cook making a sandwich in bare hands. Makes me worried for crossed-contamination with food. Came home again and the wings looked better but tasted awful. They were dry, overcooked, and bland. I used to love this place but I am saddened by the experience. However, I want to thank the sweet cashier for remaking the order and giving us a refund. I honestly felt bad she was apologizing and taking the brunt for the flaws of the kitchen staff and the staff who didn’t submit our order to begin with. We appreciate the refunds and the remaking of our food, however, the food was subpar for the amount of...
Read moreWe get food from here most Friday nights, but sometimes on Saturday/Sunday.
We’ve tried just about every pizza place in the Richmond metro area and this one is our favorite, (non-wood fired).
We like to order a large stretched thin, with pepperoni or just cheese. When the dough is stretched thin the cheese-sauce-crust ratio is, IMO, perfect. The cheese tastes quality and the sauce has a hint of sweet, chefs kiss.
We also get the deluxe/supreme on regular crust to hold up all the toppings. And often get the wings, which are good as well.
Another go-to favorite is the deluxe Philly cheese steak sub combo, I get it how they make it (mayo, no oil and vinegar) and a side of curly fries. As an avid home baker I have to say the roll is always fresh/soft and good.
So we’ve ordered many items on the menu and have never been disappointed. We order over 20-30 times a year, always consistent, always good.
They get busy at the normal times pizza shops get busy, so order early, tip big, and bring cash if you’re picking up for a 3% discount.
I don’t think I’ve written many reviews, but I love this spot and wanted to share...
Read moreI ordered chicken and shrimp Alfredo, wings, and a sweet tea today for my lunch break at the hospital I work at via DoorDash. DoorDash did not charge me for the added chicken and shrimp, so this restaurant decides to not make my order and doesn’t even contact me. I’m at work waiting around for a notification that my order is about to be delivered. I never receive the order because the restaurant refuses to make my food without the extra payment that NOBODY CONTACTED ME ABOUT. I waited for over an hour at my job in which I am working with covid19 patients plus more. I understand that DoorDash should have charged me for the added shrimp and chicken but during times like this You’d think they would understand. This would have been my first time eating here. I won’t be eating here ever. By the way my order was over $30 total.
Edit: Pizza express donated food to our dept in the hospital which we are grateful...
