McDonald's — Restaurant in Virginia

Will not be returning. The Drive thru was at a stand still. I went for lunch to order off of the value menu Cheeseburger and McChicken. Mind you I am on my lunch break which is only 30 minutes. I wait in the DT line for about 10 minutes with no movement. It was then that I decided to make the cars behind me back up so I could back up and leave the line as my time was ticking away.

I then proceeded to go inside where I thought the service may be a little faster. I was terribly wrong! it took 10 minutes for my order to be taken and no one was in line at all. however there were customers that were waiting on their orders that seemed to have been there for a while. When someone did finally take my order (cheeseburger & McChicken) I waited another 10 minutes. it was at this time I was like I need to go my lunch break is just about over which would cause me to be late. I should have left but I already paid so I waited.

I learned that there are burgers being made to order. Although a nice idea you should take into consideration that if 3 or for cars or more are ordering burgers that are made fresh the wait time will increase more than the average minute increase that is listed. This is the same for the inside as well. Until things change. I will not be giving my money to this establishment any longer. I probably wont go back to even know if changes have been made.

Customer Service is a hit or miss at this particular McDonald's. I can't stand for people to call me sweetie, honey, suga or any other name like that, I'm a customer, it's sir or ma'am. I feel it's unprofessional, they should think about having a Customer Service Inservice Class for ALL of their employees. I ordered pancakes and a sausage. I like syrup on my pancakes, whomever packed my bag only put butter in the bag. I ask, "can I have some syrup." The first employee says, "you have some, it's at the bottom of the bag," I said, "no it's not." Second employee yells from the back, "she didn't order any pancakes," I'm like, "yes I did." This chic comes to the drive thru window peeking inside my car as if she was going to be able to see inside the McDonald's bag in my hand. So I'm like "what, can I get some syrup, how hard is it to get a pack of syrup?" You don't go through extreme measures to try and prove a customer wrong, just give the customer what they ask for, it's okay! Are you going to get written up or fired for not given a customer a pack of syrup when she wasn't originally served one? NOTE TO THE MANAGERS AT THIS LOCATION Just because your store might be coming up short on the syrup packets, please stop harassing & taking your awaiting consequences out on your customers, we aren't stealing the syrup packets, we don't have access to them. I placed a mobile order to this location and went in to pick up. I knew I would have to wait a bit since the quarter pounder patties are made fresh. The wait time wasn’t an issue.

The issue is I saw my order number on the screen disappear without going to the “now serving” section. I worried it had been given to someone else by mistake. I went up to the counter to try to ask an employee. It was busy so I understood that everyone had their hands full. But, around 5 employees walked by the registers without speaking to me.

One employee pointed out that I was waiting to a manager. The manager brushed him off saying “it’s fine.” I guess he knew I didn’t need to order since he saw me sitting in the restaurant. But I was obviously at the counter trying to get someone’s attention, and I was ignored...anyway...finally an employee acknowledged me. I said “I had a mobile order...” she immediately reached behind her and handed me my bag, saying “we were waiting on the Apple pies.” But, the bag was ready right behind her...why wasn’t it handed to me if it was already ready? Why did I have to ask for my order? So that was kind of annoying.

2 stars off for that but other than that the food was hot delicious and cheap like most McDonalds, the inside was newly renovated, and the mobile ordering and coupons are awesome. And my order...
