Wish I had the opportunity to give this restaurant 0 stars! Service was absolutely horrible, server spoke English but couldn’t/wouldn’t answer any of our questions pertaining to the drinks/food. The manager was insulting when I asked what’s the difference between each Margarita: He literally stated verbatim “You don’t know what’s in a Margarita” Sir …. obviously I know what’s in a classic Margarita, however you have 5 listed with names like “Blue Margarita” So I’m asking what’s the difference between each one because the classic Margarita was disgusting. I’ve never had a bad Margarita or Mojito from a local spot so I was surprised. I was even accused of “wasting the product” although I had no issue paying, I just wanted a new drink. Not only was the manager rude and insulting and refused to answer my questions he continue to argue with me stating: Our Margarita’s are GOOD!! Sir that’s subjective. He became aggravated, and borderline hostile where I honestly did not feel safe any longer in the restaurant. Our hard tacos were soft, they didn’t bring and of the veggies that come with the 3 tacos I had to request things like lettuce, tomato, extra napkins etc saucers/small plates for my appetizer. Horrible dining experience, I asked for the tab to leave immediately, the owner then told me he’d comp the meal. (Which was nice) I continued to tell him my complaints are valid, my goal is not a free meal, it was to pay, receive a good meal and be treated with dignity and respect. I told the owner multiple times I’d gladly pay for the meal, just not the Margarita, he then Argued about giving me the tab !?!?! I stated I’m willing to pay for my food and tip (although not deserved), I just wanted a new Margarita. I ended up leaving and gave a 40 dollar tip to a young lady, who stepped in to de-escalate the situation and actually explain the difference between each Margarita because her boss couldn’t or wouldn’t . We felt very unsafe, un welcomed and treated inhumanely at this restaurant. Although we remained calm, spoke to them calmly and with divinity although we def. Didn’t receive the same respect from male supervision or servers. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE BLACK TO PATRONIZE THIS SPOT! I have never spoke to a restaurant manager and felt unsafe or received such horrible service with gross food and lack of attention/detail or have management argue with me about said service and food. I highly recommend El Pino a about 2 miles south, now I see why this restaurant was...
Read moreFood is falsely advertised as Authentic Mexican Food made from scratch, it is actually Tex-Mex, so all of the menu and flavoring is a very Americanized take on Mexican. It’s ok, comparable to Pancho Villa. SO go the carne asada which I tried. The carne asada meat was very clearly solely seasoned with salt, which ok if you’re into that but if you’re accustomed to authentic Mexican Carne Asada it is typically packed with flavor. The refried beans and the orange rice were also plain and your stereotypical kind that you find at any other local Tex-Mex restaurant. I got a chicken quesadilla, presentation was odd as it’s an uncut quesadilla and some lettuce with a small dollop of guacamole and dollop of sour cream (not crema). The quesadilla itself was light shredded chicken (I hoped it would’ve been grilled slices or chunks) I think some cheese and PACKED with refried beans which made the quesadilla super slippery and a strange texture. Again plain flavor, chicken tasted like Taco Bell’s chicken but without the chipotle sauce. It was strange, expected so much more, I never eat Tex-Mex as it’s too plain and dull and came in thinking this was actual authentic Mexican but was very disappointed finding out it wasn’t. But overall food was ok, service was ok. This restaurant clearly wanted to appeal to the area’s demographic that probably finds this place fantastic, as they do Pancho Villa. But as for AUTHENTIC Mexican food lovers, this ain’t...
Read moreTL:DR Didn’t get to eat our food cause of food poisoning… Not that we’d want to.
Ordered a mango margarita, queso, and a pick 3 combo but before the food could even come, I was feeling nauseated. The chips were old and stale, the queso had that kinda gross lumpy crust/film on it, and I had sent the margarita back because it tasted “off” and too sweet… I’m guessing something was bad, because we boxed up our food almost immediately after receiving it and I sped home, barely making it to my bathroom to vomit and have “intestinal distress.”
Edit: Not sure how to respond to your response, so I will here... I was perfectly healthy before arriving to your location but I did have to send back two different menu's that had globs of the previous patron's food between the pages, so you may be right to suggest that it may have not been the food... maybe it was your poor cleaning standards IN ADDITION to the bad food/drink. I absolutely did send the mango margarita back and asked the waiter for a coke in stead. My total charge is 41.29 including tip, I was with my girlfriend at the restaurant, was wearing a grey Georgia Bulldogs shirt and grey hat, and I got into my truck and sped away at just about 3:30 pm. I noted the time in case I ended up at the hospital. I have no idea what you're talking about, with the whole "quill" accusation. What kind of Dunder Mifflin hijinx do you think...
