The mark of a good craft store is if it makes you excited for your next project. Michael's did that. I went in to get the price for something and ended up forgetting why I had come in in the first place. I must have gotten three project ideas from just walking around in there. I really liked the blendable marker aisle. One of the Brand's has a display where you can try the markers out on paper. If there had been room I would have written a small tutorial on how to blend colors. Honestly though I think the best part about this store is the fact that it is right next to a store where you can buy pieces of Art. Walking through both of those stores together makes for a wonderful time killer. Who needs the mall anyway. I don't know how the prices compare to other craft stores ( being that I forgot why I was there) however the buying experience would make me want to see what this store has to...
Read moreMy mom wanted a lantern with a snowy truck and tree scene inside so I headed to Michael's. First off, there was no shopping cart available in the front. I had to wonder the parking lot to find one. Second, this was only the 1st week of December and everything was already picked through. The shelves in the front that were designated for the holiday were almost completely bare. They did not have 1 wooden lantern in the whole store nor did they have any type of fake decorative snow. After finding a few things I could make do with and headed to checkout I realized the 30 other people trying to do the same thing. As there were only 2 store associates you could imagine how long it took us to finally get checked out. It was a complete nightmare!I've been going to Michaels since I was a kid...(now: 35)I couldnt believe that this was the same store I loved so...
Read moreI was in Va. to complete arrangements for a family wedding........Michaels is my "go to" store in Florida. I was delighted to be assisted by a lovely associate named Janet........she was helpful, pleasant, and went out of her way to get answers to my questions. It was not until I got to the check out that my experience turned sour. The manager on duty, Rosemary, was abrupt, dismissive, and rude........customer service clearly not a priority. Since I do business with Michaels on a frequent basis I am familiar with their policy of customer satisfaction..........Rosemary clearly has not been informed or being informed does not care. Janet gets an A+........Rosemary should choose an occupation more suited to her lack of personality...............retail sales will...
