Let me start by stating that I am not one to complain at a restaurant. Being a waitress myself I know what that is like! My husband and I were out for lunch and decided to go in and eat. The waitress was rude from the very beginning. It all went down hill from there! I ordered shrimp fried rice and wonton soup. My husband ordered general tso chicken with wonton soup. The wonton soup came and literally the noodles were HARD! Also mine had some piece of pink meat floating in it which may have resembled a piece of shrimp???Neither of us ate it. We did not complain just sat it to the side. Next, the shrimp fried rice came and the rice was HARD! Same thing with the general tso chicken....HARD. It just didn't look right either so my husband smelled it and it smelled horrible. I talked him into trying a piece and he literally gagged and spit it out. We told the waitress what happened and she went and got the manager (BIG MISTAKE). I explained VERY politely that the food just wasn't what we expected and didn't care for the taste as nice as I could say it. We explained that we had not eaten any of the food. He begins to tell me that the part of the wonton noodle I was holding was hard because it was sitting out of the soup. It must have been sitting out of the soup for a couple of days, seriously. Then he tells me he cannot reduce the price or anything because it is a cost to him and he repeats himself over and over that he cannot "recycle" the food which made me sick to my stomach because that's what was running through my head already. So we get up to leave and he begins to ring us up and I was still trying to make my point politely that the food was not touched and was not edible because it was so hard. He rang us up and asked did we want a box since we had to pay. I did not even take the food to my dogs who will eat anything! Then he begins to rip into me saying hes been in business for 24 years and that I should notice that I am the only one in the restaurant complaining. The whole time hes laughing at me and I snap. I ripped the bill up and laid it on the counter. Then he says to me that I he is the foreigner here but that I am the one polluting this country!!! WOW!!! So needless to say I did some research on the violations when I got home... the worst one I saw was one for "rodent droppings" which was a repeat offense on there numerous times! I never write reviews but I had to let...
Read moreI have been going to this place for over 20 years, but not anymore. I never write reviews but this one really rubbed me the wrong way. I had placed a to go order, to which multiple items were missing. I phoned them by time it was noticed at home, and they stated they wouldn’t refund me for those missing items, but they would take my phone number down and whenever I called in again, they would add those to my order along with a complimentary dish. Although I was a bit annoyed that they didn’t just refund me for the missing items, I agreed and that was that. At the end of the day, I just want what I paid for. Well, the time came and I called and let them know that a lady took my number down and I wanted to add those missing items (that I already paid for last time—and all of them were paid as being a LARGE size) along with the additional complementary dish, to my current order. Well, the man who took my order seemed confused and was wondering why they owed me “free food”. I politely told the man what happened (he also spoke with the lady who took my number down to confirm) to which he was clearly upset about and he then proceed to call me a “liar” (and I quote, he literally called me a “liar“ multiple times!) just because he took that “complimentary dish” the lady offered me as one of the dishes they forgot to add last time, therefore, making it look like they forgot that dish too. He was quite upset at the fact that they had forgotten multiple dishes and now I returned asking for them. He then proceeded to call me a liar again with a horrible attitude and he then goes on to tell me those other dishes they forgot last time will be “on the house” this time (by the way, how is it “on the house” when I already paid for them??) and so we hang up, I go to pay and pick up my food (for the last time with them) and not only did they give me SMALLS instead of the LARGES that I had previously ordered, and paid for last time, but I was also over charged for the current order I made, and was served disgusting customer service. Never again will I give these...
Read moreI grew up literally as a child from kindergarten onward to college eating here with my family. Having dozens of birthday parties and other milestones celebrations. My husband had his dinner here alone with my dad right before asking him for his blessing. I have sentimental memories here. They know my family well. I’ve come to find no Chinese restaurant can compare to the flavor, texture, and freshness of food here. Favorite dish is general tso. The husband (owner) is amazingly sweet and nice. He truly cares to serve people. His wife, unfortunately is the coldest rudest person I’ve come across. I’m extremely heart broken to say I can never return to this place due to the last encounter I had with her where she became aggressive by sticking and pointing her finger in my face. I’m being very brief here but I’ve never seen such disrespect to a customer with a huge family that has brought countless friends and family members to their business over decades. I feel so awful for the 3 star review for Steve. However, having his wife be a part of his business I would imagine has held them back from coming to the potential they could be. It has certainly made me want to never come back. Hence the 3 stars. For the success they do have, it is all due to Steve and the cooks. I hope they continue to do well. I only wish them all the best. Regardless of the few rude servers, I would still encourage you to try the food and see...
