Paisano's Pizza — Restaurant in Virginia

Second attempt: it's a 4/5 if i didn't have that first incident. I ordered 16 piece wings and a calzone. It was very delicious and got to me on time. I didn't reach to management because i wanted to discard any bias towards their service and product. I like it but i will leave this at a 3/5. I think it's fair and reasonable.

Edit: to be honest i don't even remember if i ordered a calzone or stromboli because i was in a hurry and those are very similar.

Original experience: I Decided give this a try after passing by it a few times. I ordered a "regular calzones" to which the man at the register replied "with everything? Pepperoni, sausage, cheese?" To which I replied " yes". He charged me about 13 and change and i payed 14 cash. I received no change and no receipt. I thought it was odd but didn't feel it warranted a complaint on it's own, plus i didn't care for the change. There was only one customer before me. Cozy little place. I received my order in about 7 minutes. The person who gave me my ordered asked what i was waiting for and i told him I was waiting on a calzone and then handed it to me. I didn't check my order, i just walked back to my car to go back to work. The person who handed me the calzone followed me to my car and verified what in got because he thought he gave me the wrong order but then said it bc was correct. Neither of us opened up the box. To my surprise when I got to work i had a cheese calzone. it's difficult for me to rate this one star because the calzone was still delicious but I feel like it really needs a lot of work on how they communicate and how they operate. The only reason I gave it two stars is because I feel like I could have changed the course of the actions by being more attentive and more stern but I also feel like I shouldn't have to be correcting anything if I'm...

I’m amending my review. I was angry when I wrote it so here it is from a less nasty moment.

We spent $85 on a few pizzas, 2 salads, mozz sticks and garlic knots. That’s a lot $. On a Sunday our delivery was very delayed. When the food arrived it was cold, really cold. I can’t complain about the cost because we ordered it. But please can it be warm when it gets here for that $? We’ve ordered a lot from this Paisanos and it’s usually good. This delivery was just extra bad.

When I talked to the manager he said they were busy and understaffed so they had the order delivered by a Dasher. Not sure how that works but ok. The driver must not have had a hot bag big enough to fit pizza. That’s why we order direct to Paisanos. Because their employee drivers have the bags that fit pizza and they’re like a remote waiter - they represent the restaurant to the door. Cold food sucks. Don’t get me wrong DD and Uber and Grubhub are great for some things. They just weren’t this time.

Anyway the manager said to bring the food back for replacement (1hr) or refund. Half the people already had their pizza in the oven. Can’t bring it back. Was hoping for a better solution.

If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. I have had two horrible experiences with this place and I will not be ordering from them ever again. Both times our orders have taken over an hour to be delivered l, right around 1 hr 20 mins or more. I should not have to reheat my pizza I ordered in the microwave just to make it hot.

This time they left some of my order at the store and had to go back and get it. I live less than 10 mins from there. All the pizzas are delivered cold, sandwiches crushed, pizza is very rubber looking and taste. My son can’t even bite through a slice it is that bad.

I called the store and they said they leave them in the box sitting on top of the stove. Then they slam the delivery drivers and it takes for ever to receive anything and they just stock everything on top of each other to . Either get new management, hire more drivers or close your doors so your customers are not suffering. I will be sticking to Papa Johns or Dominos from now on.
