Penn Station East Coast Subs — Restaurant in Virginia

I just wanted to say that I am highly disappointed in Penn Station. My experience was unacceptable in my eyes and they way I was treated sucks. I visited the midlothian location on 6/18/19. I placed an order over the phone and came in to pick it. Upon arriving I paid for my order and waited at the end near the fries. While waiting a lady (now know as Sherry) was cleaning off tables with a rag. She had on one of those plastic paper thin gloves. When she was finished cleaning the tables and drink machine she tossed her gloves and proceeded to "attempt" to make my food. I kindly stopped her and asked her was it my food she was making and when she said yes I asked her could she please wash her hands first as she just finished cleaning. Well! Sherry was not happy about me asking her that and got an instance attitude! She did wash her hands but she let it be known that she was not happy with it. She threw the paper towel aggressively across the floor in the trash as well as threw my fries in the grease. I couldnt believe someone would get that upset because you asked them.to wash their hands WHICH is only sanitary and the right thing to do before making anyone food and ESPECIALLY of you just finished cleaning REGARDLESS if you had on paper thin gloves! I would love to know what a health inspector would think of employees not washing their hands before preparing food. I am a nurse and there is no way that I can not wash my hands after handling certain care whether I had on gloves or not. BUT to get an attitude with a customer about it is ridiculous! People have a right to choose where they eat and I refuse to spend my money here again especially after calling to speak with the owner on more than one occasion including calling the corporate office and still no response to this day. They coporate office informed me that they were a franchise and allowed me to leave a message for the owner. And I called to the store as well. This shows me that he does not even care. I am highly disappointed in this company. I mean talk about me when I leave I dont care but where has the CUSTOMER...

Just ate at location on Midlothian Turnpike. Ordered my usual the classic Italian. I have always bragged about the Italian sub here today I found it disappointing. First I walked in to find one girl behind counter playing with her long hair thank God she puf gloves on before handling the food. It was dirty behind counter food slicing area has good debris left there from last cutting. Not cleaned up. There was no one in there when I walked in. The other girl cooking as well had hair past her shoulders no hair net hair swinging back and forth with every movent. Sorry I checked my sand wich and first real well just to make sure there was not any hair in n them. Watching people prepare food with no sense of handling of food, kills an appetite fast. Needless to say I will not visit this location again. Pot belly sandwiches makes a great Italian too. Also the fries I received were like it was the leftover pieces in the tray. How disappointing!!! Especially after paying nearly 15.00 to eat a small sub, fries and drink. Please train your people how to handle the food especially in front of customers, and also how about hello how can I help you when people arrive. The girls did not seem to happy about...

Went in to get a sub and never been there before the employees were very polite they are very helpful the french fries or four fantastic while they were hot right out of the fryer once they get cold it's the whole different deal but anyway sub buns seem a little smaller than me the meat was was okay the lettuce that regular lettuce is little tough on a lot of people stomachs romaine lettuce and be a whole lot better but all in all it wouldn't have bad sub but it's not the first on my list I'm sorry maybe all to go in earlier during the day maybe things will taste better things will be a little fresher I don't know but once again I'm right back going to Wawa because believe it or not A simple little gas station has some of the best sub I have ever had not trying to slam business but it's just not my style of stuff but it wasn't bad it wasn't terrible but that's just how I feel but the fries are great when the solid hot but don't let him get cold but that's just my opinion and you know what...
