Rio Grande Tex-Mex Grill — Restaurant in Virginia

We visited this place for dinner on a Monday night and they have dollar tacos on Monday. They had plenty of staff however it took a little longer than normal to be served drinks and take our order. As the order arrived it was now 9 apparently they close at 10. I didn't know this until I noticed everyone was focusing on cleaning and sweeping and mopping as if it was a priority over serving us. We needed napkins and drink refills but we were basically ignored. The food was probably not worth a dollar. Tacos were small and over cooked in my opinion. I could have gotten better at taco bell. I also ordered a gordita and it was full of oil and welted lettuce. Again they seemed not to care. I probably will not visit this place again. I ordered Mixed Fajitas, the steak was very tough I almost choked on it. The shrimp was not seasoned and the chicken did have good flavor. I set aside the steak because it was not edible. My server didn't pay attention to that detail. I recommend paying attention to what is left on a person's plate. The refried beans were very watery and had a burnt taste to them and were not good at all. The rice was good. The salsas are very acidic makes me think they are really old. The price was around $22 but the portions were incredibly small. I understand everything has gone up which but dang yall cheap buying the cheap steak and charging like it's filet mingon. If you are anything like me, once you eat here you will never want to go to any other Mexican style restaurant again. All the others don't even compare (and we've been to a lot!) Everything even down to the rice and beans are amazing. I'v seriously never had Spanish rice that good.
