Penn Station East Coast Subs — Restaurant in Virginia

I'm sorry to say that I've had the worst experience at this location. Earlier this month I went in to grab a quick dinner and my debit card was declined three times. The manager on duty apologized, I was embarrassed and I left. I immediately checked my bank balance and everything was fine, there was definitely money there. The very next day, I checked again, and I had been debited $10.57 for food I never got to eat. I went to the location and asked for a refund. I was told by the same manager that he couldn't give me a refund, that he had no record of the transaction. I had to go back to my bank and dispute the charge. I went to my bank and my bank told me that they do not dispute charges less than $25. Because Penn Station had debited the money they had to refund it. I went back there earlier this week with paperwork showing the SAME manager that the debit had occurred on his end. He said he had no record of it and without a disputed charge from my bank I would not receive a refund. I went back to my bank AGAIN and was told that if I proceeded with the dispute that I would have to consider the charge a fraud and have my debit card destroyed. And I did it. For $10.57. This is extremely disappointing and I will never frequent another location. I've been to Penn Station more this month than I've ever been and I still haven't gotten to eat. I've been going to this location for well over a decade and have loved the food, but in the last few years the food has gotten progressively worse.

I went here a few days ago and just got something basic. Steak, cheese, a little mayo, and green pepper. Basic. There was so much grease and mayo in the sandwich that it went everywhere. Bled through half a dozen napkins, the wrapper and the bag. I managed to force down half of the thing and it left me feeling sick for the rest of the day.

As if that wasn't bad enough, the fries were not crispy at all. I would even go as far as to call them soggy. I ate a few and threw them in the trash.

I gave 2* rather than 1* purely based on the fact that the gentleman working the register was very friendly and kind.

All in all. Good people....

If I could give negative stars I would,worst take out experience I've ever had in my life ,my wife ordered door dash from this location and they sent one of the subs literally with a sub roll only no meat, no anything, are you serious what kind of morons run this place then when my wife called to complain the general manager tells her it's our fault for not specifying what we wanted on the sub,ok even if that was the case you mean that no one there is intelligent enough to say hey let's call the customer to clarify,oh and the GM hung up in her face then hung up in my face twice.
