My first impressions of this buisness were mixed. While they did have a friendly staff and a large selection that fit my needs for a new refrigerator at a great price, there were a few red flags from that start, mostly having to do with my salesman. The man was older and not able to effectively use the store systems online. He had to be helped/reminded of things (which the woman who had an employee/owner name tag said he had been reminded of several times), wasn't able to answer/understand some of my questions (more help from other staff), and was at one point dragging my new fridge (not a floor model, I went with a scratch and dent) around by the open drawer, which seemed like it could cause damage. Not ideal, but for such a good deal I was happy with my experience when I left that evening.
The following day I was emailed by my salesman saying I had a 8-11 delivery window for the next day, so I planned accordingly. I got emails and texts on delivery morning changing things to an afternoon window, which required me to then take the rest of the day off work, missing even more important training than I'd planned to miss and making me look unprofessional in front of my new boss. When I called to discuss this with the store I was met with a pretty apathetic attitude and told windows can change at any time and they never know until the morning of. No recompense of any kind (waived delivery fee, discount on future purchase, etc) was offered to make up for this communication error, I was just told what I'd said would be communicated to a manager. I kept and eye on the tracker and it took well over an hour per delivery and our time was continuously pushed back to the point where I would've had time for both work and my appointments in the evening, so I wasted a whole personal day for absolutely nothing. So I went from an 8-11 window to a 1:30-4:30 window to an actual delivery at 6pm. The delivery staff was reasonably efficient and completed their work in less than 30 minutes.
Overall I'd say this is a good place to go for good appliance deals, especially S&D, but you need to be prepared to block off a full day for delivery (or do it yourself if you can) and need to make sure you do your own double checking in the event you don't get one of the salespeople mentioned in other more positive reviews. I thought I'd found a place to replace the rest of my older kitchen as the appliances fail over time but will not be returning here after this absolute mess that not a single person at the company felt the need to make right. If they had offered to waive the delivery fee or even just had an actual manager speak to me at any point that would not...

I purchased a set of Speed Queen washer-dryers from East Coast Appliances when I moved into my new home. I had met with someone on the showroom floor and heād really sold me on them. I was excited to receive my new appliances and begin tackling my rapidly growing laundry pile.
On the day of delivery, multiple calls were made to me by my girlfriend who was home at the time. The calls initially were due to a mis-ordered steam kit, for a different dryer, being ordered and charged under my name. Her and the installers were all talking through the phone at once, unable to decipher the issue. Following this, I receive a call telling me that the washing machine, once pulled off the truck, was opened to reveal a large basin that had fully rusted from the inside. Unquestionably, we sent the washer-dryer set back to the warehouse they had came from.
I had a series of coordination phone calls over the next two days, as the manager for this location was inexplicably out on break, and nobody else was qualified enough to sufficiently help me. I was finally told if I wanted the appliance set Iād purchased I would need to wait an additional 3 weeks for a new shipment to arrive. I conceded in my attempt to get what Iād paid for, and wouldāve settled for anything else theyād had. I was informed that the upgraded model from the one I had purchased was available for delivery, but it was an additional $100 or so for each appliance. I asked if my severe inconvenience due to store negligence accounted for any compensation? Maybe something in the area of $200. But was told that prices are set by the manufacturer, and, presumably, that the store had no money to use for fixing mistakes.
So finally, I get the downgraded model, so as not to contribute a dime more to their brand-stand, and upon initial use, not 20 minutes after the installers had left, my washer was spewing cold water from rear. Luckily I caught the leak in time and reattached the domestic water lines using some teflon tape, but this was enough already.
I would highly suggest buying from East Coast Appliance, so long as you have unlimited time to clean up their messes, more plumbing knowledge than the average appliance installer, and a deep love for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHorrible experience. Went there to look for a new washer and āMD Shahadatā. From the very beginning it was a bad experience with him. I have been there one time before and looked at washers and knew what we wanted. He decided to ask us what we wanted and tried to get us to buy the more expensive model because it had extra features but we wanted a simple washer. The more expensive one had a motor that was a half horsepower less and when I asked him about it he said that they are all the same horsepower. I told him to give me time to think about things and he walked away and I talked to other customers there about how last time I came in I was told that thereās a difference in motors and he overheard it and came back and corrected himself. We still went ahead and wanted to buy the washer. He asked if we wanted to buy a dryer which I already told him no in the beginning and then he decided to tell me that I should get the more expensive one because it washes clothes better. He also kept trying to sell me on the dryer. I said no once again and at this point Iām irritated that he did not take no as an answer and try to sell me something I didnāt want so that he can get a bigger paycheck. Then comes the scheduling for delivery after we paid for everything. He said they can do Wednesday but that does not work for us so it would be Thursday and he said thatās fine and told us he had it scheduled and they will call us in the morning and give us a 3 hour time frame. Come to the day of my wife has not received a call so I called in to ask the status and it turns out that the delivery was never scheduled and it was still in a āquoteā status even though we already paid and set up the delivery date. The person that answered the phone was helpful and unfortunately did get some attitude from me because of frustration. I work in sales myself but the way āMD Shahadatā came off was only looking to see whatās in it for him and not actually any customer service or equipment knowledge. Luckily who I talked to on the phone is able to get us a delivery for the next day but this should have never happened. I believe that āMD Shahadat ā got the sale and failed to complete the actual Job. Very...
