Quiubo Parce Colombian Restaurant & Bakery — Restaurant in Virginia

We came to the restaurant with a very open mind as it was their soft opening and expected the staff to still be in training. That being said, the food was full of flavor. As of this posting, it's easy to say with certainty that this place offers the best tasting Colombian food in Richmond VA.

We started with 4 beef and 2 chicken empanadas. The beef empanadas were full of flavor and with enough potatoe to be noticed but not overwhelming. The chicken empanadas were moist and with great flavor as well. We all really enjoyed them.

First guest ordered the very popular bandeja Paisa; it was served on a 3 tier plate. Everything looked appetizing although the guest stated that the thin steak was a bit over done. Everything else was a hit, specially the beans.

Second guest ordered the Churrasco; it's a healthy ~12oz rib eye and was cooked to perfection. They really enjoyed it with the chimichurri sauce.

The third guest and I shared the picada for 2. It was loaded with an assortment of meats, potatoes and fresh vegetables. It all tasted great and cooked to perfection. It was also a hardy portion. There was enough for four people.

We finished with the maracuyá dessert. It was creamy and a perfect end to dinner.

They have full alcohol and coffee bars. Their bakery also has some interesting breads and desserts. The decor and ambiance is very lively. Although their sound system needs to be updated.

They had some service and food delivery issues that still need to be sorted out but the staff was incredibly friendly.

I definitely recommend this place and will be back soon to try their other dishes. I would recommend that those with little patience for the hospitality business wait another two weeks before visiting as they still need to resolve...

We were waiting for quiet some time for this place to open. And it mostly didn’t disappoint . Parking : Lots of spaces, very spacious, cannot get lost ☺️ Food: Came in on Soft opening. Waiter was very friendly and tried to help but didn’t quiet know all the ins and outs….. charged us for water that came in plastic cups (tap water) showed up on bill as bottled water. Tried to let waiter know that food wasn’t coming out as described , he said that his manager said that’s how it comes….. Food was all right , nothing to brag about. Beans needed a little more seasoning , rice was a bit to bland…..meats were good 👍 Service :As is said …..waiter was very friendly and tried to help but not very knowledgeable about food , presentation , etc Atmosphere: Great atmosphere , big dinning room, cozy, lots of space, fun decoration. To sum it up…….Came for soft opening knowing if will not be 100%. Definitely will come back to see how it’s going. Also very curious about the bakery 👍. So far I liked it and very happy to finally have a good looking Colombian restaurant in this area!!! Last thought….. I was expecting the owner more interacting with customers to “get a feel” of their experience.

02 July 2022 Went back today today and was very pleased👍 Service was amazing, Emanuel took very good care of us, always checked if everything was good and if we needed anything. Food was on point. Empanadas are amazing! Bandja Paisa delicious. Food presentation was perfect. We got some coffee afterwards which was very pleasing. I am so happy that we have this kind of restaurant, the service and food are excellent. Just see a military member complain about the military discount. Not all restaurants offered military discounts especially Hispanic restaurants, as a retired military officer I feel gratitude when a restaurant offers that discount, even I know is not mandatory. When a restaurant or store offers the discount means they feel gratitude for our service to our nation, something we d voluntary and with honor. Military discounts is a privilege not something mandatory unless we have a president who makes it mandatory.

I personally never ask for any discount unless is giving to me, I been in this restaurant as a customer since they open a year ago, just discovered they offer military discounts a month ago, love the service and food and just because they not give me a military discount , I going to give them a bad review, keep the good work and I always support...
