I was there this morning. When I arrived, I was the only customer in the store. I only saw 2 employees. Unbeknownst to me there was another employee hiding in the bathroom. (She was practically in there for the duration of my visit.) The older woman that greeted me was fluttering around all over the place. She clearly needed more assistance than what was given to operate that morning shift. (I understand there are online orders to fill too but you have 3 people working and presently only one customer in the store, which is me). I waited for a couple of minutes. When I attempted to order my breakfast, she had to clear her register screen and wasn't ready to take my order. Now she's ready but slow to understand what I wanted. I had to repeat it a couple of times. Finally I placed my order. There's another gentleman behind me ready to order. He waits for a few seconds and she takes his order. He actually received his smoothie before me (to my chagrin) and he left. I'm still waiting for my smoothie and avocado and egg toast. The younger girl suddenly hands me my smoothie. I'm still waiting for my toast. The absent employee makes her appearance from the bathroom. As she heads behind the counter, she sees me and says are you waiting for something. (me - blank stare). I replied I'm waiting for my avocado and egg toast. She sternly says it'll be ready soon. She threw something together and gave it to me. There was no salt or pepper on my toast. She did however offer me a bag and smartly apologized for my wait. Ladies if you don't love your job, please find another one. No one desires to tolerate your nonprofessional behavior first thing in the morning (nor throughout the day). And for what you're charging, your disposition should reflect in...
Read moreDO NOT ORDER HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO DRINK BLEACH!!!
They use BLEACH to rinse ("sanitize") ALL their dishes and do NOT rinse them with water, or wipe them down with anything, but let them airdry - except sometimes, they are so busy, that they take the blenders right out of the bleach solution, with remnants of bleach-water still in the bottom!!!
And the owners do not care. I spoke to them and they claimed, "It's so dilutaed that it doesn't matter." Ironic for a restaurant that's supposed to be all about health.
Do NOT eat here, unless you want GI PROBLEMS and inflammation!!! Because that is what - even trace amounts - of bleach is very well-known to cause.
Ps. NEVER in my career in the food industry have I worked anywhere where they used bleach on dishes that come in DIRECT contact with guests' food and drinks! This is outragous to me. But I was assured it's "industry standard," like that's supposed to make it alright. Panera, Safeway, etc. all have dish sanitizing machines that use extreme high heat to kill germs and sanitize dishes. This is a 100% non-toxic solution, but I guess Robeks in Kingstowne just can't be bothered...
If you look at some of the employees' trousers, you might see some bleached spots, and you're telling me that same bleach is supposed to not be...
Read moreI've been going here for 10 years to get the same smoothie but few days ago when i went there was a girl named Nafisa working who was really mean. Me and my friend ordered the same smoothie and she gave me mine full and my friends' smoothie only 3/4 filled up. We asked her if she can fill it up and she gave us a very nasty look and said thats how its filled up to so we tell her no its usually filled all the way up. She grabs the blender from the sink and puts it in our face & says well do you want this thats left (and there was nothing left she was being sarcastic). Then she grabs the smoothie and slams it a few times on the counter so the smoothie breaks down and says there thats filled up and you can empty some of the other smoothie in there to make it fill up. Me and my friend were so in disbelief we were staring at each other and we just decided to not argue and walk away. When we walked out there was another customer walking out too and she tells us "yeah shes a b**tch to me too every time i come here its not...
