Everything about this experience was unpleasant and the attitudes of the staff were just as nasty as the restaurant (with the exception of one manager). I normally go through the drive through and am often met with rude attitudes, missing food that was paid for, cold fries, or even somehow paying for the wrong car’s food. Today, I decided to go inside because the drive-through line was longer than desired and the lobby appeared almost empty. Inside, there was not an option to have a real person take my order….kiosk only. Since I was paying with cash, the screen directed me to go to the counter to pay. I proceeded to the only other counter in the store, which was the same one where the customers were handed their food. The employee standing there, as I approached, walked past me and when I turned around he was at the exact counter that I had just left, not saying anything, but just standing there, so I had to walk back over there. Later, as he was bagging the food, he was just wandering around with the items. Then sat the fries and burger on the counter and then said the potato was still in the oven and it would be another 5 minutes, even though it was longer. After waiting even longer, I mentioned to the manager that the fries in the bag were now cold. She grabbed the bag and tossed it on the dirty counter behind her. Everyone in the restaurant seemed to be ok with just wandering around with food items in their hands, rather than leaving it at the food station. At one point, I asked for my money back and the manager said “ok,” but then proceeded to offer a rude comment. Even asking for the location of the cups was met with rudeness. There was food allllllll over the floor, just laying around on many dirty surfaces, someone’s keys…yes keys… were sticking in the unwrapped/uncovered sliced cheese, sauce was dripping down the wall, all the trash cans were overflowing, and the list goes on. Just filthy. Pictures also posted to show the filth. This visit was just money and time wasted, because I couldn’t even bring myself to eat out of this establishment. Read moreWasn't satisfied with the food I had gone through the drive-thru and it was probably between two and four I am very thorough when I ordered my food I had gotten a $5 biggie bag and I said I wanted extra I got a double hamburger and I asked for lettuce and tomato and onions because it doesn't come with that on two sandwiches well they did not put any of that on my sandwich so when I went back through the drive-thru and complained, what turned me off was with covid being out here and it's still out here the food had been given to me and my husband and we had open the sandwiches they had to have the sandwiches come back through the window I thought that was so unprofessional because I don't know if they took the same sandwiches and added the lettuce tomato and onions to the sandwich most restaurants do not take the food back through the window especially when they make the mistake and I've heard so many fast food restaurants say because of COVID-19 and health regulations we are not allowed to take the food back through the window so someone needs to let this Wendy's know that you shouldn't take food back through the window, customers are always paying attention and that's not a good look when you see food going back through a drive-thru window, in this world that we all live in you don't want to give people the wrong idea, if you see sandwiches going back through the window, you don't know if you're receiving that order that just went back through the window . I will never go back to the Wendy's in Newport News on Jefferson avenue I just thought that that was so unprofessional the manager that was on duty that particular day which would have been Monday was very adamant about getting that food back through the window so I will never go back to that Wendy's and if I could rate them the rating would be zero I should have asked for my money back because we didn't eat the sandwiches because again we don't know if they just added the lettuce and tomato and stuff too our sandwiches because they were so rude about getting...
Read moreI have visited this Wendy's twice and the first time it was really good and the food was hot and my requests were followed. The second time I went through the drive through and asked for a kids cheeseburger meal, party in a separate container. I and vegetarian and was going to give the beef to my dog. They said okay, then I asked for the sandwich to have lettuce tomato pickle and cheese. I get my food and have the extra bag with the patty and then check my bag and there is no sandwich. I look at the party and they put the toppings I asked for on the patty. I had to go back through again and clarified, I still want the sandwich portion just patty in a separate container. And in the sandwich I want cheese, tomato, lettuce and pickle. The manager I believe made the sandwich I got and I was super grateful that I thought Iy was made right and when I opened up the sandwich it was covered in mayo with one slice of lettuce and tomato and no pickles or cheese. I have an egg allergy so the whole thing just went in the trash. I used a gift card as well and didnt get a receipt. I paid for a cheeseburger (4.69 in the app) and got a hamburger... So yea...
