Nick The Greek — Restaurant in Visalia

the food was awesome, I really liked it. I've been looking forward to this spot opening since I seen the sign months ago. great spot, a must try, even if you aren't a fan of Mediterranean food, or Greek food, it's awesome. try the bowl, it had rice, lettuce, onion, tomato, 2 sauces which were great, & I got the chicken. I forgot the name she said but it was the one they cook on the rotisserie. the chicken could have been more flavorful, but the bowl ingredients combined, phenomenal. I got an order of the pita & hummus too, loved the hummus & the pita was nice & soft. the young lady explained everything for me & was nice. they offered dessert but I didn't get anything, didn't know what the dessert was until I looked at the menu, definitely going to try it next time. stop by here, good, small, friendly atmosphere w quick food that tastes great. The restaurant was slightly dirty, dirty tables, seats. but that's ok every once in a while. My husband ordered an online order (2 gyros and one with Nick fries), and he left to pick it up. When he got there, it wasn't particularly busy, but it took over an hour to get our food, and the order was wrong when we got home. The gyros were wrong, the meat was cut in huge chunks, and the Nick fries were hard, cold, and had the wrong meat on them. I told my husband to just get a refund when at 45 minutes, there was still no sign of us getting food. However, it seemed like there was an issue with other online orders not getting their food, and he overhead someone else being told that they couldn't give refunds for online orders. We normally get great service and food from Nick, but this will be the last time we eat here. $38 to wait over an hour for Greek fast food...

Having moved here from So cal I was jonesing for some good gyros and falafel. The place was very clean and the young lady at the counter was extremely nice. I didn't like the Flys hovering near the plates though. I ordered the Greek salad which was very fresh but could have used a bit more time in the marinade. Its served with a big triangle of cheese ? But it was tasty and crisp. The chicken was good and so was the rice but, the pita triangles were burnt on one side. We are talking black not toasted dark. And not one dab of Humous? Who serves pita and NO HUMOUS? HAD I known I would have ordered a side. It was OK over all but I wouldn't say raving. Next time I will order the falafel and I pray it's good. Otherwise Nick and I...
