This was our first visit to the new location on Riggin and we weren't impressed. The entire menu of offerings is not displayed so you have to ask the cashier to read it to you, which is not at all ideal, especially as someone with a hearing impairment. The cashier wasn't very friendly and just seemed "new". We had a super basic order - 2 "You Pick 2" orders, one with a ham sandwich & broccoli cheddar soup and the other with a grilled cheese & chicken noodle soup - and it was a to go order. Got home to eat only to discover that they messed up our super simple order. The receipt attached to the outside of the bag was correct but clearly they didn't bother to pay attention, nor did anyone check it to ensure order accuracy. Instead of the 1 chicken noodle & 1 broccoli cheddar that we ordered, we were given 2 broccoli cheddar soups, and as the one who ordered chicken noodle, I was left without half of my little meal, as I cannot eat that soup due to an allergy. Additionally the baguette sides that came with our meals were hard/stale & ended up in the trash. They weren't at all busy only 2 or 3 couples were seated & eating when we arrived and no one in line in front of, or behind us, so that clearly wasn't a factor. Our order was super basic with absolutely no changes/requests, so that wasn't a factor either. So it's obvious an employee issue. It's frustrating that the employees are not trained to double check orders to ensure they are accurate prior to putting them out to customers. For the cost of what we pay for food at this restaurant, it seems reasonable to expect the employees to get our orders correct. If they struggled this much to do this on such a basic order, it eliminates any confidence in them to get other orders filled accurately. Used to be a HUGE Panera fan, but they've eliminated most of the items I enjoyed there from their menu and the quality of service, quality of the food, and order accuracy have all taken a sharp decline over the past year or 2 and, as a result, I've gone from patronizing Panera a few times a month to a few times a year. This evening's visit, though hopes were high for a better experience at this new location, was just more of the same of what I've/we've run into at the Mooney location for some time now. Probably won't be back after this visit, as it's a waste to pay for food and not even get the food you paid for and when the food you get isn't close to the quality it used to be years ago, and when it cost less! Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone at this point. Don't waste your time or money since Panera doesn't seem to make food quality or order accuracy their...
Read moreRevised service thanks to the corporate customer care team reaching out to ensure that this would be shared with the store team to ensure they delivery full loaves when purchased sliced.
I was disappointed in my first trip. Best part was the Salvation Army Angel tree, which I did pick a tag from.
Location just opened I was excited to have near our home on the northside where it would be a short bike ride or less than 5 min drive on a busy day since traffic on Mooney is blah and normally takes 20 minutes to go the 7 miles. Having travelled a lot over the years always enjoyed panera and the sip club.
Well sadly I left unhappy. Went in hoping they would have asiago bread, only one in there other than a few already seated. I waited a few minutes until acknowleged, waited for them to finish what they were doing. When ready asked about asiago and they said they have discontinued it. I went and asked what the breads they had were. Selected from them a loaf of sourdough and a tomato which was larger than the sourdough and thought it might go great with a spinach dip. Woman pulled them from the display. I paid cash $18.28 for the two. Since I asked for them sliced I waited more than five minutes. She hands me the bag and I asked where the rest of the bread was and I was told we through it away it is two small. I said I like the ends and thought well that is annoying. I left. And when I got home and took them out realized I should have sad take them back and get me new ones as quite a lot was taken off.
I appreciated there is a learning curve with a new location but when at least 20% of the bread was thrown out that is just...
