Tacos La Villa — Restaurant in Visalia

Giving this place 5 stars because their food is delicious. Ever since my first time I was hooked. I’ve visited probably about 20 times since they’ve opened because it’s worth it. Their rice and beans are absolutely the best I’ve had in Visalia so far. Every other place around town waters down the beans and it’s noticeable. This place has the best flavor and it has been consistent and I hope it stays that way. The chips and salsa are also good, the asada fries are good, burritos, the quesa birria tacos come with consomé and it is the best. I’ve had a couple issues with not receiving something or getting the wrong order. Even though it’s a hassle at the end of the day it only happened a couple times and the people that are working are working hard and are still learning the rhythm and have gotten better since opening. I wasn’t mad because I know better to check my food before leaving any type of fast food place. Even with those small issues it doesn’t bother me because at the end of the day we’re all only human and mistakes happen but at least they will fix it. Another reason why I will keep coming back is because customer service is about keeping the customer happy (within reach) and they absolutely will do that. The other day I had lost my entire meal because of an idiot driver pulled out in front me causing me to slam on my brakes as hard as I could and it caused my whole meal to roll over into the floor board from my passenger seat. I was having a bad day and all I was looking forward to was my meal from here and i almost got into an accident. I was crying and so upset. I went back to the restaurant to show them and kindly asked if they could remake it for me. They could’ve said no, it wasn’t their fault and I planned on paying for another but instead they said yes and gave me a whole new plate. God bless them for that. Like I said I was exhausted and just wanted to be home and enjoy a good meal. I’m writing this now because they do deserve recognition for how kind and understanding they were and I’m really appreciative and that’s why I continue to support....

Came here on a saturday night at around 11pm. There was a long line, I think overall we waited for 20-25 mins. I did get kind of irritated especially because the girl at the drive thru, she needs more training. Im not even sure what to say about her, she was just lost. maybe she cant multi task, doesnt have the sharpest memory or just doesnt pay attention. We ordered 3 items, until we said the third item is when she spoke to us, im not sure if she was just there listening to us, at some point I think she should have asked if that completed our order or something. We get to the window and get our food. Asked for a cup of ice which we said we would pay for, no problem. Gave us a big cup which was only half full, you would at least expect for it to be full, it wasnt free. Than we asked if she can fill it up to the top, just to do that it took her forever to come back to the window. and when she did, the cup had water, excuse me miss no one asked for water. and after she gave us the cup, she said I will be right back with your order. she had already given it to us, she was just that “lost”, I would use another word but google wont approve. I've been to this place a couple of times now. The dining room and restrooms need more attention when it comes to cleanliness. The food is good,but the customer service from the employees is below average. If I could give them zero on service I would. Store manager and shift management need to train their employees to give better/friendly customer service. Most of them are very rude,I asked for some salsa in the front counter and one of the young girls looked bothered by my request. Last night I passed by their drive thru and order the tacos combo with rice and beans. No utensils were provided in my order. Why would I have to ask for utensils if they know my order requested those ? Unacceptable.. It doesn't matter how busy you are,,you double check orders and make sure they're accurate that's including salsas,napkins,utensils,etc. Stop normalizing lazy and rude employees.
