I am not the type to write reviews but this needs to be shared. I've gone to Teaspoon a rare occasions for promotions or deals. I enjoy going for there specialty drinks and had positive experiences Today at 7pm me and my friend had ordered the new double matcha. There was one barista working and she was nice, we even sign up to receive 3 dollars off our drinks and left a 20% tip. The drink was made perfectly and we both enjoyed our drinks and would recommend. However, couple minutes later I had almost swallowed a very small piece of hard plastic in my drink. Small enough that it passed through their regular straws, I thought it was ice but it did not have the same cold feeling of it. I have the picture to prove it. Luckily, I was only minutes away from the Visalia location to confront this issue. I had explain to the same barista what had happen, as any barista she had apologized gave me my half of my refund for my drink and made me a new one. I had handed her the plastic that was found in my drink, she identify that this plastic came from a blender that didn't have blades but plastic ones to mix a drink base on the brown coloration and piece. I had thought so because tea does stain plastic overtime but it doesn't explain the black spots that look like mold. She said that she will strain the drink out of the pitcher when making me a new one to prevent impurities such as this. I received the new drink and went on my way. While one the road I swallowed that same piece of plastic again! It was too late now and I was in complete dissatisfaction that it was in my second drink. When coming back I had strain my friends drink myself and found she too had plastic in her drink. This not only happened once but three times in one trip. I never had the most uncomfortable experience at any establishment. As someone that has worked in the food industry for many years this unacceptable and unsanitary. Objects that are use to make drinks should always be replaced every 6 months or when showing signs of wear and tear, also rinse properly with every use. I can't imagine this happening to anyone else which can lead to more serious issue that can have someone fully swallowing it and can disrupt the integrity of the business. I won't let prevent others from going to Teaspoon but, personally I will not continue going to this place ever again. All I ask from the staff at Teaspoon is to do better and asked to be contacted for a...
Read moreGod I wish I can rate it lower. How is the manager himself less professional than the baristas? Not in proper dress code, wearing a beer shirt and a baseball cap, cursing, giving free drinks to select people while paying customers are around. I watched as he left with his friends and did burnouts and sped well over the speed limit out of the parking lot…as a retail worker, it was truly disgusting to see how someone so unprofessional can be a higher up…not good at all for the business.
Reply: …I can’t… I wasn’t trying to “hate”. I wanted to like the place but the way the management was acting I couldn’t. What’s the lie? That management isn’t wearing the same dress code as baristas? That’s true. That they’re giving out free drinks? I have seen it. That they’re cursing? I’ve heard it. The fact that they peeled out? I was also there! How can you sit there and tell me it’s not true? I don’t have any reason to lie about that? It doesn’t benefit me. I’m just trying to warn customers of how management is acting. I didn’t say it was tonight either. It wasn’t. I was sitting on it. I didn’t want to write a review but It irked me. So I came back to see if anything has changed but no it’s still acting the same. And now you’re saying I’m wrong instead of just pulling up your pants and saying you apologize and you’ll talk to them? Wow… Ughg. I would rate...
Read moreAs someone who enjoys boba. I was very excited when I heard that there was a new one opening up in Visalia but I was very disappointed. I ordered 4 drinks. lychee on lychee Mango chili Strawberry colada Black Sugar Assam When I usually try a new place I tend to buy a variety of things milk teas to test their basics and fruit teas to test their teas. But I was very disappointed that the basic "Boba" drinks such as black sugar Assam and the lychee on lychee were very watered down and bland. The strawberry colada was pretty good and you can't really mess up a Mangonada. But I wouldn't go back here for boba again maybe if I'm feeling something else but not boba as I think this place is more Akin to a place like Dutchbros than a boba shop. Had no issues with the staff they were very welcoming and helpful and the menu had alot offer but I would not go...
