Traders Take-N-Bake Pizza — Restaurant in Visalia

Amazing pizza! Consistently the best take-n-bake pizza in town in my opinion. Fresh, high-quality ingredients, great sauce, great crust, and quick order turn-around for walk-ins. I've been going to this place for years, you can't go wrong here if you like pizza. For a great pizza, follow all baking instructions including moving your oven rack to the top position, let the pizza come to room temperature (20 mins or so on the counter should do), bake at 450 degrees until slightly golden at the edges (I typically do 12 to 13 minutes). I think their pizza is better when it looks only slightly browned at the edges, you don't want a dark brown crust here like with other pizzas, the predominant color here should be white like a toasted dinner roll. I've tried other take-n-bake places closer to where I live and they just don't compare. I would rather get a pizza from Trader's than most of the ready to serve pizza places in town anymore. It's always my go-to place for a birthday dinner or lunch! Just wish they had another location closer to me. I live on the North end of town now, and this place is on the complete opposite side of town with no quick way there and back, so I don't get there as often as I would like anymore... which might be better for...

The gentleman who helped me at the register was super nice but had to swipe my card twice because the machine froze, not a big deal. But while I was waiting I looked at my bank app and seen I was charged twice with 2 different transaction numbers. So the "man" who was making the pizzas decided to raise his voice at me in front of others and didn't even apologize for the mistake and all he could say was you have to wait 3 days because I get charged. Well ok.. I told him his customer service was not cool, I wanted my money back, and I wouldn't be coming back; he said that's fine and when I told him I was going to let others know he said go ahead with no hesitation. So he lost money by giving me my money back and having to pay for the extra transaction error. What happened to treating others the way you want to be treated? A simple apology would have just been nice and he would have got my family's business. Good customer service...

Regardless of how good their pizza is, their treatment of new employees is horrid. My friends son was told to start work at 11 a.m., arrived 2 min. before 11 and was blocked at the door and refused entry while the owner in the background turned his head to avoid looking at the new employee. We know he was on time because he called home to report this treatment at 11:02 a.m. The owners have complained about not being able to not get good help. They really missed the boat on this one. This 19 y.o. young man is the most dependable guy I know. Not only did they crush this young man's spirit, they lost out on a terrific employee. Not to mention the owner was too chicken to talk to this young man himself!! Their loss. I'll never buy pizza there again and and I'll share this...
