Rosa's Kitchen — Restaurant in Vista

Normally I'd knock a star for two negative things I saw (parking lot is very busy & they don't really provide full waitressing) however I'm reviewing a fancier Mexican food hole in the wall restaurant & they get 5 stars as they are fancy compared to any other hole in the wall I've been to. I grew up in city heights and tried Mexican food from Mexico all the way to Salinas.

They did try to tend to dine in guests when possible. If your going to dine in go when it's a down time if you want better waitressing. Food to go first two times was perfect and what one would expect, 3rd time - different cook; was good but not as great. Still will return.

Cashier and order taker was always smiles, nice and accommodating with my order requests for my husband with 3 toppings on side as he will eat his food later on and that way it's not soggy.

Prices are what I pay when I go to Santana's/Mexican food on rancho Santa Fe by postal way. Food is almost made the same.

True hole in the wall crane asada fries is about $6.99 & usually not my favorite as its more salty and less toppings.

Fancier places it's about $8.99 for full plate with guacamole, sour cream, pico, fries, cheese & meat.

I'm a gringa as most staff at other places call me lol but I wasn't able to hear it once so far here so that's another reason why...

Wanted to treat my son for breakfast and stopped here since it was close and had good reviews. Cashier was kind of dry and seemed rude. Like that "just order already" vibe and attitude. Food was fast and good but when I let her know that there were two pieces of hair that looked like facial hair in the food she disregarded it and said it must have been my eyelash. I let her know that it did not come from us and was mixed in the food and again she brushed it off. Yes things like that can happen but it's gross to eat food with someone's hair in it. I walked in and placed an order to go of chicken enchaladas with extra cheese on the inside. I stressed to them about the extra cheese but in a polite way... the people were nice and the food came out in about 10 minutes which was really great for me. But when I got home and finally opened up my food to eat I found they didnt add any cheese to the inside at all. I paid for the cheese and didnt receive it which is really disappointing because it was almost an entire extra dollar for that cheese. If I hadn't been charged for it I wouldn't have...
