SOMEBODY CALL THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT! PROCEED WITH CAUTION* Tonight my fiancé and I decided to grab a quick bite to eat from this Applebee's before seeing a movie at the Carmike movie theater. We came in around 9:15 and sat at the bar. Our waitress came over after she finished wrapping up a money transaction. She greeted us then took our order, I ordered a water and he ordered a Blue Moon beer (which comes with a sliced orange on the rim) We also ordered some French fries. We watched her as she made our drinks. She came back with my water first and then proceeded to prepare the beer. She poured the beer in a tall glass and then GRABED THE ORANGE SLICE WITH HER LONG HOT PINK NAILS AND PLACED IT ON THE RIM. We were automatically turned off and when she brought it to him we asked if he could have another one. She paused and cut here eyes at us before she walked away. This time when she got the orange slice she used her nails again, she placed it on a NAPKIN then brought it over and placed it on the counter. At this point we were totally disgusted and my fiancé went looking for someone who could help us. The manager finally came over and tried to resolve the situation. He also had a team of waitresses behind him. We explained to him how unsatisfied we were and how unsanitary it was that the bar tender used her bare nails to grab oranges slices. The manager decided to defend the bartenders action by saying that they don't use utensils! The waitress behind him chimed in by saying she worked at lots of bars and they didn't use utensils. The manager continued to make a bunch of excuses for the bartender and even gotten sarcastic saying "do you want me to make her wash her hands before dealing with you every time". I told him I couldn't understand why they were trying to justify being nasty and that It didn't matter what I picked up with my hands that it was unsanitary, especially if I just got done handling money. The manager then said that we didn't have to eat there and we agreed and left. I could only imagine what was being allowed behind the scenes! The staff are all disgusting and childish. The moment we started speaking with the manager a bunch of waitresses decided it was their business too and crowded around us. I felt like we were being bullied the moment we had anything to say about someone in there. I'm never going back there because I don't want to get sick from their negligence. I wrote this so other people don't get sick neither. GOOD LUCK...
Read moreMy family and I went here yesterday (8/23). We ordered boneless wings, a kids Mac and cheese meal with mozzarella sticks and two burgers. Our server, Kaitlyn, seemed very sweet initially when she asked for our drink orders but then she began to neglect our table. At first, we thought she might have just been swamped with work, but I watched as she passed our table multiple times and checked up on other tables on more than one occasion, checking to see if they needed drinks and clearing their tables. My husband actually had to get up and get us our silverware and plates because she never brought us any. Then, because it was dimly lit in the restaurant, I didn’t notice how pink my burger was until I was more than halfway done my burger. My husband then asked another worker to get the manager. The manager came to our table and asked if I at least found the meal enjoyable. It sounded like a trap question, but I honestly answered “yes”. Not really a fair question. If I were eating a burger in a dimly lit restaurant and it tasted enjoyable until I found something like a toenail in it, of course the burger would be enjoyable up until that moment. In his defense, he didn’t have attitude when addressing my concerns and he did wind up taking my burger off of the check, so I’m grateful for that. Overall, the rest of my family enjoyed their food so I would say this was just an okay experience despite what happened...
Read moreTonight (2/10/17) My friends and I whom are all african american came to this establishment to have a girls night out, My one friend and I have. peanut allergy and we explained it to our waitress who's name is Nancy and she seemed to have an attitude about it. After that i tried to order chicken tenders and french fries and she then told me that all 3 fryers have had pecan chicken dropped in them. and usually (when i go somewhere else) they just clean out the fryers, but Nancy said "just choose something else from the menu" at this point i had an attitude because i couldn't get what i wanted. So i ended up just having to choose something else and then everything was fine. the waitress did come over to check on us a few times as she should. Usually someone comes over and ask you if you want the check or you ask... she just walked over and threw it on the table and walked away as if she wanted us to leave or something. out of the 5 of us 1 paid with a card on the computer and the rest of us paid separate in cash. basically she didn't give it the correct change and when we all her over she folded her hands and with an attitude told us that we were wrong so we called someone else over and they showed us to the manager who told us there was nothing she could do about the mistake the but charge the card again and thT wasn't an option. so we will be contacting corporate on...
