Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Wake Forest

This location is okay. Not good not bad. I always have a problem when I come here whether it’s take out or dine in even if I try to space the week-month span that I come to this one. It’s usually bad vibes for me, I keep coming back because the food is decent… it’s just the service I always seem to get no matter who I’m with, if I’m by myself etc.. it’s hardly ever good. It might be due to my race (bartender was my race as well so I know that she has this impression of myself and the person I had with me), or the fact that I’m young.. I hate to say it like that, but that is what it comes down to.. I used to wait tables recently so I know how their minds think when it comes to deciding who to give more time and effort to.

I’m debating on getting a sticker or something of that sort made that says “yes I’m young, I tip very well, I was in the service industry continuously for 3 1/2 years.” Even then that still might not even matter. Food was great overall. Bartenders shouldn’t wait tables and the bar because they never can keep up. The lady asked us from afar if we were still doing good.. I’m sorry if you’re reading this and don’t see what’s wrong with what I’m saying… you just would never ever understand. I tipped poorly tonight because I got poor service while her other tables around us got great service.

Update here again: 9 months later, still terrible cooks working… service is poor, only one refill. I’m done this time i mean it! Manager hasn’t even came out to ask what’s wrong with my order...

Usually I love chilies however they are very unsafe during covid 19 times. Last night not only did a whole family come in to wait for 20 minutes in the doorway and waiting area benches without masks but when i talked to the manager, he decided to not say anything to them. In addition, they sat us in the bar. That seemed OK at 1st because we were 6' from the other customers on our right. However at least 2 of the bartenders did not wear masks and were 2' from me for a long time washing dishes. Also Everybody was crowded on one side of the restaurant while there was a whole side that was empty that they didn't seat people in because servers were not on duty for that section. We were seated by the take out station on the left side and at 1 point that chiles Employee came to sit right next to me to my left without a mask and proceeded to eat her food. What sense does that make a for the customers to be spaced apart but for an employee to sit right next to me with no mask. So we got up and left. Very poor management of that restaurant in Wake Forest on 11/14/2020. That manager should be retrained or let go. We need managers and restaurants to help curb covid19. I want restaurants to stay open but to stay open while also following and enforcing safe procedures. They should refuse to serve people who are not following the rules and wearing a mask until they sit down at their table. That is how we save lives. The manager and employees need retraining. We always enjoy Chili's 🌶️!! Sign up for the rewards program you will be glad you did, always something free in your email. Everytime we go we get a free appetizer, or free chips/salsa. I love their super thin chips always delicious, today we ordered the dip trio for free. I always get a margarita as well can't have Mexican without one. 👍 My husband loves the chicken sandwich here but today he ordered the BBQ bacon burger which he enjoyed it's HUGE, 2 large patties and plenty of bacon. I went with the chipotle chicken mex bowl. So much chicken, I asked for more ranch as always and took 1/2 home to eat for lunch today. Another pro move for you is to ask for chip refill and then 2 to go boxes as we take chips home as well, microwave them for 15seconds and they are delicious once again. I always have salsa and sour cream in the fridge. 😋 We know to come off times here especially on the weekend, today we came after a movie so it was 330 and not busy at all so service is always good when they aren't busy. Sometimes we sit in the bar, a girl Taylor that works there is super friendly and nice and always checking on you, it was busy today with games on so we sat in the restaurant side where is was slower. Enjoyed our visit and paying with the tablet is always convienent as well. Btw we buy the 4 pack of $25 gift cards for $80 at Sam's Club so we always use a $25 gift card when we go as well so tbe bill is never bad for us as we take advantage of...
