I hate to post a negative review of a local owned business because we love supporting local, but there's no way around it. We finally tried Grandma's Diner after passing it for a couple of years. What a let down. There were 6 of us and our check was $115 and not a single person enjoyed their food. The hash browns were weird and dry and tasted like rice. The pancakes were just ok. The French toast was decent. The chicken was frozen which is ridiculous when a whole section of your breakfast menu is dedicated to chicken and waffles. The bacon was not cooked all the way, the sausage was just frozen patties that tasted exactly like McDonalds, the home fries with veggies were from frozen (the onions and peppers were literally still cold), we didn't have any salt or syrup and heard the table next to us say that they were also out of pretty much all the things at their table that was supposed to be stocked. We didn't realize that the apples that were supposed to come with the chicken and waffles wasn't brought out at first, and when we did realize it we didn't even bother saying anything because we knew they were probably straight out of a can anyways. Nothing about the experience makes any of us want to come back. Honestly, this is one of the most disappointing meals we've had in a long time and we regret going.

Omg. It's clean, smells good, and the ambience is chill. Playing pop music from 70s-90s...sweet! This is a young staff but lively, hardworking, and kind. Popular spot. Expect to wait. Be patient it's worth it... eat expecting delicious taste and to be content. Worth every dollar. I ordered Erik's egg and sweet and savory chicken and waffles. I was seated rather quickly for them being so busy at 930 in the am and my table was clean. The owner comes to check on her clients and you can tell the employees are treated well! Omg this food is smacking smacking! The chicken tenders are so light and flaky . The blueberries taste handpicked for excellence. The waffles are made so fluffy and cooked well. The whole time I'm eating I'm like... whose guardian angels touched this staffs hands?? I am thankful to God that I chose this spot for a date with myself. I was sad when my breakfast was done lmbo it was so good!!! I ate my first plate too quickly to take a photo haha... I'm coming back with my kids next time.

Would give 0 stars if I could. The food is absolutely horrible. We couldn’t even touch our food from how bad it was. Scrambled eggs came out in one thin layer of eggs, bacon was completely undercooked, hash browns were the worst I’ve ever tried in my life. Super dry and without any flavor and came out cold. Even when the owner saw we left plates completely full on the table without being eaten, nothing was done to compensate us. We paid the $45 bill and left hungry. Will definitely never return. I suppose this is why this is the only place you go to for breakfast on a Sunday during prime time, without a wait whatsoever. This place has less than Waffle House quality food.

Updating my review for today. Against our better judgment we decided to return to see if a breakfast rush would be better than the 3 teens that served us at 2pm last time. No dice. The girl who sat us took our drink order but didn't give us menus. Then we were forgotten for a bit. The waitress that served us was initially pleasant when she took our order. But we never saw her again. The owner and a boy came to tell us our food would be 10-15 minutes because there was a large order in front of ours. No problem. 35 minutes later the owner came over to make sure everything was good. We told him it had been 30+ minutes since we placed our order with no food. Three waitresses were milling around the back of the restaurant socializing. The cook rang the bell for an order and 3 full minutes passed before anyone picked the order up to take it to a table. We miraculously had our food 2 minutes after speaking to the owner. He said a 10% discount would be applied to our bill. He either did not relay this to our waitress or she forgot. When I went to the counter to pay (the waitress still had not come back to our table, even to drop the bill) she was chatting with the cook. He had to tell her I had been standing there waiting. She turned and said, "oh, I'm just taking my time." when I told her there should be a 10% discount she asked what was wrong with our visit. I told her we waited almost 40minutes for our food and she said "oh."

Overall the food was so so both times and the service was absolutely dreadful on both of our visits. Will not be returning. Brig's knows how to do breakfast and it's less of a...

By far one of the worst experiences in dining out. DO NOT BELIEVE ANY OF THE REVIEWS LIKE I UNFORTUNATELY DID!!! First off, there are all teenagers as the servers. While I support young people getting jobs, they lack experience and obviously had no leadership over them. Next, there were multiple tables that were sat around the same time. Wait, here's where it gets bad... the family of four across from us ordered before us, and within minutes, the mom had her breakfast. Great, right...? No, because the kids and the father sat there for another 15 minutes before the kids' meals were brought out, which happened to be a waffle for each of them. By the time we left, the father had still not received his food. Okay, onto our meal. My wife got a simple bacon and cheese omelet with hashbrowns and toast. I ordered a skillet with sausage gravy on top. Took forever to get our food. Once it arrived, it was not even edible. My wife took a couple of bites and could not eat anymore. We asked the server where our toast was, and he came back with you didn't order toast. It clearly said on the menu that the meal included toast, and for an upcharge, you could get a side, which is super weird. My skillet tasted horrible and was scolding hot, leading me to believe it got scorched. All I could taste was raw flour. I also only took a couple of bites, which left me sick to my stomach for the rest of the day. All that being said, it cost $30 without tip for this terrible meal! DO NOT SUPPORT...

Rarely do I write a bad review about a restaurant but this was a disappointment. My wife and I went for breakfast on Saturday and sat at the counter. There were quite a few workers and they walked by us a number of times without anyone stopping to bring us a menu. Finally flagged someone down to get a menu and at the same time ordered two coffees and two waters. Only got one water. After waiting nearly 20 minutes for someone to take our order we started to get up to leave and then someone came over to us. When our food arrived my wife's toast wasn't toasted. Just two pieces of bread cut in half and we were given no butter. Weren't given silverware either and had to flag someone down for that. Had to ask for salt and pepper as well as none was available on the counter. I started eating my home fries and realized they weren't cooked. Didn't bother with re-ordering the home fries as it just wasn't worth the wait. We were never offered a re-fill on our coffees. After we finished eating someone eventually came and took our plates away and I assumed she would be bringing our check but she never said anything and never came back. So we instead wen't to the cashier and told her what we had and also asked to speak to the manager. She said she was the manager so we told her about our experience and she took 10% off our bill. Sorry, that doesn't cut it. We eat out nearly daily and there are just too many better options...
