Los Tres Magueyes Wake Forest — Restaurant in Wake Forest

My husband and I used to love this restaurant but the last 2 times we have gone, it has been pretty bad. We went tonight. They sat us down right away and took our order immediately. The beers came right away. When it came to the food, they served my husband's dish, which was the special for the night, pretty quickly. I ordered beef fajitas. They brought me everything but the beef. I waited for a while before inquiring. Well, my husband finished his dinner and I still had no beef for my fajitas. I asked again. They finally came and there was so little beef! It was full of tomatoes, onions and green peppers. I have had this dish there before, a while ago. and was always very satisfied. They also gave me only 3 small tortillas. Before, they used to serve 6. I asked that if there was no charge, would they bring me more to finish my meal. I specifically told the boy that if there was a charge i did not want them. Well, this took another 5+ minutes and they charged me $3.20 for 2 small tortillas!!! We have been going to Los Tres for years and tonight’s service was horrible. It was 5 in our party, and the waiter took forever to get our drink order / food order. He never once refilled our chips or drinks. Our food came out by 3 different people (not our waiter). My father (who is diabetic) never got his meal. The waiter never came back and checked to see if we had received our meals / if food was good. So my dad had to get up and go to the door of the kitchen to tell him he didn’t get his food. We told the waiter we still wanted the meal for my father, but he could take it off of the ticket. (I mean that was the least they could do). We waited another 15 minutes and no one brought the meal or checked on us to see if we had received it. I went to the cashier and asked where was the manager, and the manager was nonchalant and had an attitude when I told her the situation. She said “well we can make it for you”. I proceeded to tell the cashier what happened. They did not offer to take anything else off of our ticket or even seem remotely apologetic. this was our first time here and figured we’d try it out because we were getting tired of our usual go to mexican place . and WOW were we impressed . so much culture in the atmosphere . the tables/chairs are beautiful and you could automatically tell everyone in the restaurant were enjoying themselves . we were greeted w a warm welcome and shown to our table . waiter was extremely nice and made sure to check up on us . i was that annoying customer and was constantly asking for stuff due to forgetting lol . the waiter instantly did what we asked upon request and their were no long waits . food came right out in time and it was soooo good . the best mexican weve ever had !! talked a little with the owner of the restaurant and learned he’s been open since 2000 ! i hope for nothing but prosperity for him / his family / and all his hard working staff . i cant express enough how much i enjoyed my night out due to amazing service 😊 i would recommend this place to anyone and everyone . food was prices...
