Hunan Garden — Restaurant in Waldwick

I've been going here for years - and still think it's the best quick takeout Chinese in the area - but it changed ownership a few months ago and has gone downhill. Service is a LOT less friendly, you're not greeted when you go in and are told you can only pick up by order number (which isn't given over the phone). The food is a lot less flavorful and greasier, which is a shame. The old Hunan Gardens was always super fresh. Containers have also changed and there's more sauce, less protein/veg in orders. I do still order from time to time, but far less often and always with lowered...

I ordered from Hunan Garden for the first time. I ordered the fried chicken wings which were absolutely delicious and they were huge! Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside! I also ordered beef egg foo young which was also absolutely delicious! The only thing I didn't like about the egg foo young is they put the gravy in it instead of on the side. Just note to self for next time to tell them to separate them. But all in all, excellent food! I'll order...

Edited on 6/26/18 I used to love the food. It changed owners and the tasty food went with them. Been holding out hope for the last few months, but have been exploring other local Chinese food options.
