We had great expectations for this place with the good reviews. For $120 order, we walked away extremely disappointed. There was one gal behind the counter who was responsible for taking orders and making all the coffee. There isnât just regular black coffee so 4 of us order the pour overs. We sat down at the only table big enough for 6 ppl and waited. And waited. And waited. Our coffee finally came after at least 20 minutes. While we waited, we fought off the flies. The coffee was good, strong. Then we waited and waited, probably another 30 minutes for our food. Coffee gone. No free refills. The food finally came. My sonâs overheard eggs were over medium. They told us at the counter they canât do scrambled eggs because they have a flat-top grill. Um, what? That doesnât make any sense. My parents over easy eggs were over medium. The waitress didnât know the difference and obviously the cook didnât either. Itâs like they only knew how to make one type of eggs. I got the banger breakfast-it was supposed to come with peppers and onions-there were none. It also came with potatoes. My mom ordered a side of potatoes. The potatoes were hard! As if they had just cut up a raw potato and put it on the grill for a few minutes. None of us ate them. The only one that ate their food was my daughter, who ordered the waffle. The restaurant was not busy. We didnât have to wait for a table or even wait to order. I do not recommend this place unless you have the whole morning to wait and you only get the waffle....

First off, the staff are so friendly Iâm convinced they were trained by golden retrievers. Warm, helpful, and full of great music suggestionsâthey might even help you find that obscure â70s album you swear only you remember.
The space is totally dog friendly, which means I got to sip my strawberry lemonade, browse vinyl, and hang out with a very social and friendly dog 10/10.
Speaking of vinylâtheyâve got shelves of it. Take your time. No, seriously. This isnât a âquick stopâ kind of shop. Itâs a âcancel your plans and vibeâ zone.
And letâs talk about that pistachio cherry chocolate chip ice cream. It didnât just rock my taste budsâit started a flavor band and played a farewell tour on my tongue. Absolute legend.
Come for the music, stay for the ice cream, leave with a record, a new dog friend, and probably a little more joy than you...
Read moreWe are on a cross-country road trip and stumbled upon The Tin Snug. This, by far, has been hands down, the BEST breakfast food and coffee since we left Michigan. We had eggs, toast, red skin potatoes, and coffee. I was about to ask for salt and pepper since there wasnât any on the table but, no need! It was seasoned to perfection. The toast was grilled, the potatoes (with onions and peppers) were so tasty and were not greasy or overdone. The coffee was delicious and strong, just what we needed before getting back on the road.
The atmosphere is contemporary but also cozy. It was fun to be able to see breakfast being prepared. The bathroom is nicely decorated and so clean. At the back of the café is a vinyl shop with loads of great music to choose from.
The staff was friendly and we had an enjoyable chat with one of the owners. This was our first stop in Idaho and it was a welcomed one. If we were locals, weâd be regulars. I have rarely ever been moved to write a review, but really felt the need to after this visit.
Thank you, Tin Snug for the sustenance and...
