We had great expectations for this place with the good reviews. For $120 order, we walked away extremely disappointed. There was one gal behind the counter who was responsible for taking orders and making all the coffee. There isn’t just regular black coffee so 4 of us order the pour overs. We sat down at the only table big enough for 6 ppl and waited. And waited. And waited. Our coffee finally came after at least 20 minutes. While we waited, we fought off the flies. The coffee was good, strong. Then we waited and waited, probably another 30 minutes for our food. Coffee gone. No free refills. The food finally came. My son’s overheard eggs were over medium. They told us at the counter they can’t do scrambled eggs because they have a flat-top grill. Um, what? That doesn’t make any sense. My parents over easy eggs were over medium. The waitress didn’t know the difference and obviously the cook didn’t either. It’s like they only knew how to make one type of eggs. I got the banger breakfast-it was supposed to come with peppers and onions-there were none. It also came with potatoes. My mom ordered a side of potatoes. The potatoes were hard! As if they had just cut up a raw potato and put it on the grill for a few minutes. None of us ate them. The only one that ate their food was my daughter, who ordered the waffle. The restaurant was not busy. We didn’t have to wait for a table or even wait to order. I do not recommend this place unless you have the whole morning to wait and you only get the waffle....

If you find yourself in Wallace and don’t stop at this cafĂ©/vinyl shop, are you even living? This place is a hidden gem with a groove—like if your favorite record and your grandma’s ice cream recipe opened a business together and invited your dog.

First off, the staff are so friendly I’m convinced they were trained by golden retrievers. Warm, helpful, and full of great music suggestions—they might even help you find that obscure ‘70s album you swear only you remember.

The space is totally dog friendly, which means I got to sip my strawberry lemonade, browse vinyl, and hang out with a very social and friendly dog 10/10.

Speaking of vinyl—they’ve got shelves of it. Take your time. No, seriously. This isn’t a “quick stop” kind of shop. It’s a “cancel your plans and vibe” zone.

And let’s talk about that pistachio cherry chocolate chip ice cream. It didn’t just rock my taste buds—it started a flavor band and played a farewell tour on my tongue. Absolute legend.

Come for the music, stay for the ice cream, leave with a record, a new dog friend, and probably a little more joy than you...

We are on a cross-country road trip and stumbled upon The Tin Snug. This, by far, has been hands down, the BEST breakfast food and coffee since we left Michigan. We had eggs, toast, red skin potatoes, and coffee. I was about to ask for salt and pepper since there wasn’t any on the table but, no need! It was seasoned to perfection. The toast was grilled, the potatoes (with onions and peppers) were so tasty and were not greasy or overdone. The coffee was delicious and strong, just what we needed before getting back on the road.

The atmosphere is contemporary but also cozy. It was fun to be able to see breakfast being prepared. The bathroom is nicely decorated and so clean. At the back of the café is a vinyl shop with loads of great music to choose from.

The staff was friendly and we had an enjoyable chat with one of the owners. This was our first stop in Idaho and it was a welcomed one. If we were locals, we’d be regulars. I have rarely ever been moved to write a review, but really felt the need to after this visit.

I've come in here a few times and have always had a great experience, the reason for the review is that today I had maybe the best sandwich I've had in my life - the Irish cheesesteak. Wonderfully seasoned, great portion, excellent price - this is what other sandwiches should be compared to and is definitely something to be proud of. Service here was great as always, and it is a very cool place, but if you're in town and have never had an Irish cheese steak before, that should be the only reason you need.

As a Wallace local, I visit the Tin Snug frequently - they are friendly, consistent, affordable and DELICIOUS! They really hooked up the 2025 Ski Jor team by giving us free drinks, and providing punch cards for the competitors as well. Such thoughtful people - my breakfast mimosa, latte, and slice of gluten free quiche really perked me up for day 3 of Ski Jor, and gave me the energy I needed for my 3rd day of the event. You guys are awesome!!
