MOD Pizza — Restaurant in Walnut Creek

This pace is the best. I love the crispy thin crust! It's the pizza dreams are made of. LOL MOD Pizza beats out another well known thin crust pizza place! Which is hard to do.

I love the one price policy. It's pretty amazing; you couldn't get more for your money.

The staff is exemplary. Upbeat, warm and friendly, and they explained everything about the food, it's pricing, etc. I came for the pizza and stayed for the staff! 😁 I would be negligent if I didn't give a shout out to one of the most friendly, knowledgeable, funny, and best employees MOD has: Hillary Huff (?). I hope I got her name right and I hope she's still there. I've been wanting to say something about her for months, but life got in the way. I hope she realizes how special she is, and I hope her management knows what an asset she is to the company.

I like their pizza very much. It's a lighter alternative to heavier pizza. The staff are always nice. Long lines on friday nights. On multiple occasions, homeless people come into the restaurant and do weird stuff or sleep. It must happen ALL the time if I have seen it more than thrice. A major frustrastion is that MOD is fast food, but getting a parking spot can take longer than getting the pizza. The cars never move!! Parking is such a major issue at this shopping center. I suspect it is the gym or employee parking. The gym seems to have good business, but it was a very BIG mistake putting it in a shopping center with very limited parking. We have been coming here for a few years now. The food is typically fresh but the service is always spotty and there are times when the finished pizza is not so great depending on who makes it for you. Pizzas need to be made with love but some workers treat it more like an assembly line. Like last night, I asked for a bit more cheese because the guy dropped a tiny amount right in the middle and refused to spread it out. Then got super stingy with the vegetables so once it was cooked, there were bald spots all over the pizza. It’s not always like this but it does happen more than I like.
