7:10 PM I’ve never felt to disrespected and discriminated in my life. I came to lunch on 4/10/2024. I came to bring my date for all you can eat and added the all you can’t drink for two people. We fullly understood that we had a 90 minute time limit. The entire lunch we ordered conservatively and never once ordered more than we could finish. We never ordered after 90 minutes. At 80 minutes we order one more pitcher of beer and 4 small orders of beef. They only brought 2 orders and one pitcher. At 2 hours they told us we over stayed our welcome and should have been gone at 90 minutes. When they approached us they said if they are busy you need to leave at 90 minutes. The restaurant was empty. There was literally 70 percent of the restaurant was empt there was no one there. It was amber the manger that wanted to kick us out. They made us feel so incredibly unwelcome. She mentioned that manger customers waste food.we never once ordered superfluously. When they approached us we had a single plate of beef and half a pitcher of beer in front of us. I never in my life have felt this was but amber kept arguing and arguing about other customers and what other customers do. It was disrespectful and disgusting. I see why this restaurant sits empty. Amber needs to be removed. She treated us in the most disgusting of mangers I felt she saw us less then human. I honestly couldn’t believe it. The server came with our check and said we have here in their empty restaurant longer then 2 hours and we needed to...

Sitting down and taking in the quirky decor gave me second thoughts, but between the first hesitant round of skewers, while waiting for the second giant round to cook, those second thoughts blossomed into what I can only describe as phantom nostalgia. Glad to have retuned, even though I'd never been before.
The more I thought about it the more I felt like this place must have been a created by someone who was very much a "student of the craft" but without losing the joy inherent in sharing a big pot of inexpensive tiny bites.
The childish impatience of waiting for your next set to finish, the way the thought "it's just a quarter" finishes your allowance way faster than you expected, there's a mural on one wall of a 90's video arcade which makes more sense the more you think about it, next to it is a mural of a cast of well known characters which maybe wouldn't usually be seated together, but of course they would come together to share the quotidian pleasure of a good meal and good company.
I think these are the things they are going for, and I think they deliver. I can't wait to go back to that little spot ma lu...
Read moreAfter watching some Chinese drama, I always wanted to eat at a place like this. I have never tried the skewer hot pots. I always had the normal one where it's just the ingredients and you put the food in the pot to cook. I guess the skewer version is the same as the normal hot pot except there is stick attached to the meat you are cooking. I find it cleaner especially if you are eating with other people and your meat is not lost in the pot. I would definitely be coming back here with friends. As for the pricing, you order a la carte for each type of item. For two of us, we spent around $50 each person excluding tip. A pro tip, come early bc parking at that plaza can get packed. We got there around 4:50ish for an early dinner and we were the first table there. By the time we finished, the inside seating at restaurant was packed and the parking lot was full. Fyi, this was on a Sunday night. I can't wait to come back. Also, if you cannot handle spicy, there is a non-spicy soup base or your can order the combo of spicy and...
