Gambino's Pizza — Restaurant in Wamego

Gambinos in general is HIGHLY overpriced. They do not offer anything gourmet of any sort but they sure do charge as though they are a gourmet pizza establishment. One small basic pizza and a mini breadstick was about $23!! That's food for about one person. For what? Average pizza and overcooked dry breadsticks? Then they charge OVER $3 for 2 little tiny containers of bland pizza sauce, which should be included, one for each pizza and breadstick order. How do they stay in business?? This location is also very dark and unappealing. Feels like you're at a dive bar. Needs a serious makeover. The soda machine does not get cleaned regularly and the soda tastes of mold and cleaning product. I also saw though the food window that there was food everywhere, the guy had no gloves on and he was wiping food remnants off the prep area and threw it all on ONE pizza. Gross!!!! I think I'll call the Health Department...

We have lived in Wamego for about ten years and the last few years the food and service have been atrocious. First off the place is dark and ominous with almost nobody there always, and the guy in there said he would help me in a minute (he had to sweep the floor before he helped me which was an extra ten minutes all while my order sat under there heat lamp that wasn’t on). Every time we order from there we think it’ll be better but to no avail, and yesterday was no different. Secondly, we ordered a BBQ beef pizza and it barely had any sauce, and it tasted freezer burnt. The turkey sandwich was a joke it had one little strip of turkey, and the bun was way over toasted. The fountain drink machine smelled terrible like mildew. The kitchen was a disaster area at least from what I seen from the dining room. Lastly is the prices, paying ten bucks for a sandwich a seven year old can make better is...

First issue was the pricing, their "current menu" online apparently had "old precovid pricing", a couple dollars difference. Moving on to the flavor, I've had frozen pizzas that were still partially frozen that tasted better than this pizza. The cardboard crust, the odd flavor the toppings themselves had, just the entire experience was not a good one. I had never heard of this pizza chain until someone who lives in a different area of Kansas recommended them, they came out to Wamego to visit while I was in the state and we shared it; even they didn't understand why it was bad. If you're gonna order from here, it's a chain restaurant anyway, so you might as well go with one of the other chains in the area and...
