Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Warner Robins

Ever since they opened this store, my girlfriend has ordered probably at least a dozen sandwiches. She has me go pick it up for her and deliver it to her at her job as she is a nurse and can't really get away for that long. My interaction with this store has been absolutely wonderful. They have never gotten the order wrong and she requires the gluten-free bread on her sandwich do to her celiac disease. They always make sure to not cross-contaminate by using the knife on the regular bread and then transferring it over to the gluten-free bread. Celiac is a autoimmune disorder. And in her case she could stop breathing if she has bread or anything with bread product so it is extremely important for them to get the order right and they always have. She always orders the gluten-free bread with the chicken bacon ranch sandwich. No lettuce, no tomatoes, no onions. They make a superb sandwich. Please see photo enclosed. I have been to this location just before the lunch hour Rush or during the lunch hour Rush and in the evening Rush as well. I call ahead every time and typically the order is ready when I get there or at least it is being prepared at that moment. They always give you the time frame when the order will be ready. The appearance of the store is always clean and the restrooms are sanitized. This is a new building and they are doing their part in keeping it looking nice which the community appreciates. This location is on the north side of Chick-fil-A on Highway 96 located in beautiful Bonaire, Georgia. I love it that they confirm your order by reading it back to you to insure proper service and that's why I always leave a tip because it's very important that they do that. This isn't your typical Subway restaurant who serves a $5 sandwich in 2 minutes. In fact, the quality of the food items are who's walking much much better especially with the option to have gluten free bread. As soon as you walk into this location they ask you have you placed an order ahead or are you placing an order right then. Currently right now due to the covid-19 situation, there is not in door dining however there are some tables outside for your enjoyment. I was disappointed beyond belief with this particular location. My daughter and I have celiac disease and Jersey mikes is one of our favorite establishments to frequent because until this experience, we can eat safely there.

Before I go any further, I fully understand and accept that there are never any guarantees in terms of cross contamination, however all of the other locations I’ve been to went out of their way to make sure they lessened the chance of this happening by making our sandwiches in the back with toppings and condiments that haven’t been cross contaminated.

The employee behind the counter not only stated she wouldn’t do that, she also had a terrible attitude and acted as though I was asking her to sacrifice her first born. She clearly showed no concern that this wasn’t as issue of simply personally preference, but of a legitimate medical condition that I can’t control, even after explaining this to all three of the employees kindly. Up until today, Jersey Mike’s has always been so kind and accommodating to our gluten allergy. The employees annoyance was so profound that even the guest behind me leaned over and acknowledged the fact that their attitudes were inexcusable.

None of the three workers behind the counter offered to help. Everyone acted as though this common practice was “asking too much” to keep someone safe. I left extremely embarrassed and tearful as I frantically searched for another option to feed my daughter on our way to the next commitment.

First visit to this location amazing courteous service from the 3 young adults working tonight. It was about 30 minutes to close I have experienced other restaurants in the area telling you machines are shut down or we are out of that . These employees offered a friendly welcome as soon as I entered were patient while I reviewed the menu were ready to take my order and ring up the purchase as soon as as I was. Each person had a task the gentleman that appeared to be lead was very manner-able and professional as he advised the other gentleman of my order and that gentleman got the grill right away.

They were like a well trained machine . The owner should be proud of the implementation of the excellent training skills these employees displayed

I post this because I was impressed we run into so many I’ll mannered fast food workers it was refreshing to see such excellence in my own town.
