The pizza is generally good, been many times and for the most part it tastes good, and one of the only places around that gets anywhere close to authentic new York pizza. However the waiting staff is inconsistent at times, and sometimes just awful.

Two prior times we went they "forgot" our pizza order and had we had to wait 30-40 mins for one pizza to be made, it wasn't even a full house, I've had to stare waitresses down, or physically walk to them for any service after waiting 10-30 mins for them to return. I though maybe it was where we chose to sit caused this but after sitting to the closest seat to the register it still happened.

This last time we went was what broke me, we ordered 1 pizza for a 3 person table and it took 2 hours, two other tables came after us and left before us being served by another server. Our server not once refilled any of our drinks in two hours, even after my brother requested another beer from her after 10-20 mins without her getting a beer he flagged a different waitresses to get it and it still took another 5 mins, in a half empty restaurant. Unacceptable. After waiting over an hour the waitress said our pizza would be out in five mins.... It was not, more like 10 mins. Then when the pizza came it was burnt(black char) in several places.

I feel embarrassed I wasted my brothers little time here with over two hours of waiting and subpar pizza. I am super patient with staff,I understand it can be difficult, but I genuinely don't understand how it can take more than 20 mins to make a simple 1 topping pizza in a half...

While Johnny's holds true to average Italian you'd get in anytown usa, they excel in their trivia nights and in customer service in terms of their waitresses and waiters. Their selection isn't too big to where food quality would be frozen and suspect but just diverse enough to serve even that weird Vegan friend everyone has.

Overall the only concern I've had is the quality of furniture which has been the same for 3+ years now and is showing its age in terms of how it feels to sit on and use.

The ladies behind the bar are very nice ( not just for tips ) and keep your drink filled if that is how you roll, so to speak.

The bathrooms are typical for a location like this, was generally clean and had papertowels which is nice in 2022.

They have triva nights on Wednesday, and is always packed so I recommend you get there early or reserve a table if you have a large party. Or ignore wednesday nights if trivia isn't your thing.

Overall. Johnny's would be a 5 star establishment again if they updated their furniture with a refresh with a highlight towards comfort. Right now it bumps them...

UPDATE: I have been waiting over two months to hear from the “management team” in response to my review and still haven’t heard from them! Don’t waste your time with negative reviews because they don’t address the issues! Go to Ingleside Pizza in Macon for some real pizza!

Garbage pizzas! Take out order 3 medium pizzas and garlic knots. One cheese, pepperoni and Italian sausage. Pick up at 4:45 on 3/11/25. Was told by waitress on the phone they only sold link sausage and not crumble. Received links on last weekend pizza! Pizza had crumbled Italian sausage! Next issue: pizzas were absolutely horrible! Was so easy to tell they were not fresh made pizzas. Guarantee they used the 1/2 cooked flats you always see sitting on the kitchen counter. Crust was flat, and very crispy. How can you have outstanding pizza one week, and absolute garbage the next! Where ‘s the quality and consistency! Definitely not worth $55 when no...

Food was horrible. Only 4 tables in dining room and it took 35 minutes to get a grilled chicken caesar salad that was supposed to be my entree. 20 min after it came we got our bruschetta and cheese sticks and 20 min after that we finally got our calzone. Salad had bad lettuce in it and served with packets of dressing. Not worth the almost $6 price tag. Bruschetta was horrible. Spoke with manager on duty and he said they were busy and had 4 tickets before ours. Over one hour to get a chicken ceasar salad, cheese sticks, a calzone, and an order of bruschetta. The store took off 50% but food and service was so poor it didnt make a difference. Went to website and there's a disclaimer that Georgia franchises are a special exception to the over all franchise. Bad service, bad attitude, gross food, and an overall exceptionally sad place to eat.

My family and I have eaten Johnny’s in many locations. We are originally from NYC and are always looking for the NY slice here in GA. We generally get the largest pie they offer and it’s usually good. Today we decided to get a NY slice and it was too underwhelming to be called a NY slice. It tasted good but to call it a NY slice is false advertising to say the least. A NY slice isn’t thin crust and it spreads beyond the pizza pan it’s served on. We ordered one to go so no photos of what we ate dining in. But 3 slices with toppings was $25 and it was not worth the money. Stick to the pies and don’t believe this location will offer you an actual NY slice. It wasn’t bad, just disappointing when I was looking forward to a big NY slice, with beef and extra cheese but, got a kiddie pizza. There was no NY or nothing NY about it.

Great food, good service. I've always enjoyed the pizza here. This time I tried a pasta off of their summer menu and it was great, very very tasty. My reason for only 4 stars versus 5 is the majority of the tables including the bar had not be wiped down and were covered with crumbs and cup rings from the previous parties. I arrived on a weekday a little after the lunch rush so I understand that catching up with someone but, the crowd was gone and when I left 45 mins later still no tables had been wiped down. Somewhat minor complaint, easy fix though. Regardless, I will be going back to try more items on the summer menu.
