So y'all buckle up, cause this one is gonna be a lengthy one. So we went on a busy Friday evening. We arrived & signed in with the host at 7pm. We were not seated until 7:55pm. (Not a huge deal since we were a party of 8) Once seated our waitress greeted us and began taking our drink orders & appetizers. She said because we had 8 people she would have to submit the orders 4 at a time but not to worry they'd come out together. We ordered 2 blooming onions & an order of Mac N Cheese bites. Blooming onions were delicious but when the Mac N Cheese bites came and we bit into them they were ICE cold, partially frozen on the inside. (STRIKE 1) Next our entrees started to come out... but only 4 of us got ours and one entree had a double order of Mac N Cheese and they both were absolutely COLD! (STRIKE 2) The first 4 meals were completely consumed and the other 4 of our family members still have yet to receive theirs. After asking the waitress how much longer she checked and they came out about 10 minutes later finally. (STRIKE 3) Once my son cut into his $30 steak & discovered that his requested Medium steak was so undercooked it was practically mooing. When I say that this steak was undercooked, (and I personally eat mine rare) I'm telling you the fat hadn't even begun to breakdown, it was like the steak laid next to the stove in hopes of being cooked but only received heat from the warm plate it was placed on. (STRIKE 4) Finally my daughter-in-law asked the waitress to speak to a manager, she assured the waitress it was not about her but it was the issues with the food. Normally we would haven't made a big deal out of it but after repeated issues we felt it should be brought to the attention of management. After another 15 minutes or so we never saw a manager, only the waitress returned with our foot long check and said she took the charge for the Mac N Cheese bites off. Again, still no visit from a manager. (STRIKE 5) Finally my husband got up from the table and went and found a manager & got him to come to the table. Once the manager came to the table he immediately said "Sorry about that we went ahead and took the mac n cheese bites off is there anything else I can do?" After my son talked with him and explained to him all the issues we had thru the course of our visit, the manager did end up "comping" us for the raw steak to make things right. We did not end up leaving until almost 9:45pm. The food that came correctly was good, but overall it was a very disappointing &...
Read moreMy husband, son and myself went to outback yesterday evening for dinner. My husband and I had the three course special. Our son got the children cheeseburger and fries. The restaurant was not very busy when we got there. We were seated quickly by a nice host. Our waitress came quickly to take our orders but didn't seem very happy to be there. My husband ordered the koala punch from the bar. I ordered the koala lemonade and our son got a Dr pepper. Our son's Dr pepper and my koala lemonade came quickly. The lemonade had the included koala duck on it which was super cute. The drink was good however it did taste watered down. It took a while for my husband to get his koala punch from the bar. It did not have the included koala when it was brought to the table but one was brought to us. He said it was good. My husband ordered the Caesar salad, blooming onion burger and fries and cheesecake with chocolate sauce for his three-course meal. I ordered the house salad with ranch, coconut shrimp and fries and plain cheesecake for my three course meal. Our son really enjoyed his kids cheeseburger and fries even though his cheeseburger had some ranch on it which I'm sure was unintentional. My husband and I enjoyed both of our meals. However our server did not check on us very often and towards the end of the meal we felt rushed. The server gave us our check before our cheesecake was ordered or brought to the table. Also the server made the choice to complain about a table that she served that was next to us when we arrived after they had left. I do not feel that it is appropriate for a server to complain about a table of guests after they have left to another table she is serving. I find that inappropriate and regardless of how good the food is that makes me very...
Read moreI recently visited this restaurant and ordered a sirloin salad for $18, which was described as including tomatoes, pecans, blue cheese crumbles, and blue cheese vinaigrette. Since I don’t like blue cheese, I requested alternatives. The waitress suggested balsamic dressing but did not offer any substitute for the blue cheese.
When the salad arrived, it was mostly iceberg lettuce with only a couple of leaves of mixed greens. There were no tomatoes, and when I inquired, I was told the restaurant was out of them. Unfortunately, this was not mentioned when I placed my order. The salad included just a few small pieces of sirloin and lacked the vibrant presentation one might expect for the price.
When I raised concerns with the waitress, she kindly offered to make it right by bringing cucumbers and shredded mixed cheese on a separate plate. However, the cucumbers were soggy, which further detracted from the experience.
This was disappointing, as I’ve had much better experiences at Outback in the past. For improvement, I recommend: Better Communication: Let customers know when key ingredients are unavailable, especially items prominently listed in the dish description. Ingredient Quality and Presentation: Ensure salads are prepared with fresh, visually appealing ingredients and an appropriate portion of protein for the price. Expanded Substitution Options: Consider having more substitute options available for common preferences (e.g., alternative cheeses).
I hope Outback takes the time to consider this feedback and that these suggestions help improve future guest...
