So we’ve been meaning to try this place for years . We loaded up the kids and made our hour journey for a family Friday lunch . After standing in line for some time we were told they were not serving clam strips , and haven’t served them all summer. (The website states they serve them) We decided to get the whole belly clam platters a chowder , and two soft drinks for a price of around $80 . Within 3 minutes or so of sitting down, our order pager was going off . The portions were horribly small . They were the size of a basket , rather then a platter . (Most clam places offer 2 sized meals) this meal with certainly pre made . And they re-heated it once ordered . everything was over cooked , not golden brown , but dark brown. The clams were saturated with oil , and I even found pieces of shells in the plate , also the French fries were extremely dried out . The coleslaw was surprisingly delicious . I only say that because I’m not a kale person . I’m hoping this was just a bad day, and things usually aren’t like that . But unfortunately I don’t think our kids experience will be worth a drive back . My rating is based off of all the experiences. I wish I could have left a better one.

We stopped into the shop to pick up a late lunch after having spent the afternoon down the street at the Warren Town Beach, a 7 minute walk away. I ordered the "giant" sized Lobster Roll with half pound of lobster. You can't even see the roll in the photo due to the massive pile of meat on top of it. The sandwich was very good. It was pricey at $30 (market price) but I don't feel too bad about paying that much. I would opt for the small sandwich next time, though, with only quarter pound of meat. My son ordered a clam strip sandwich, which was very good, and my wife had a fried haddock sandwich, which she enjoyed. She subbed fresh fruit (watermelon cubes) for the fries, though. The market portion of the shop had a lot on offer, though I was particularly intrigued by the by the large bags of soup they sell. The chowder looked really good. In total, we were pretty happy with our visit. Good food and nice seafood in the shop.

The large lobster rolls are generously stuffed with a 1/2 lb of fresh, sweet lobster meat dressed in dill mayo or drawn butter. (Check out the big chunk of claw on my sandwich!) So good! Side of fries are standard. I was really into the cole slaw, which had shredded Brussels sprouts and kale--a nice way to modernize the classic side. Mine could have used either a little more dressing, or more salt and acid in the dressing to balance the mentioned greens' bitterness. Prices are competitive, the staff is friendly, and the waterfront eating area is charming. For those of you who may not know, Blount is also known for their prepared soups and chowders. I know a number of eateries that serve Blount's product. There's a wide range, and they're always delicious. Definitely give it a try!

Ok, so this place is a mixed bag. Overall, the food was good, the fish was especially fresh tasting ( fish and chips - Scrod ), but the service was pretty bad, and the prices were kind of high. A cup of chowder was $6+, but the potatoes were cooked to the point of being mushed, making it more of a stew lol. The fried clam strips were good, but at 8.50$, the portion was ridiculously small. The clam Cales were good, but gl finding a piece of clam. Back to the service, we went there on a sat around 5pm, the place was not packed in any way, but the kids behind the counter were a mess. One register was not usuable because the card reader was not working, and the person at the other register litterly short circuited when the phone rang while taking my order. I mean, work stopped, and they had a conversation about who was going to answer the phone. The oldest of the kids decided they needed to stop taking phone orders ( WHAT????? ) as they were getting behind on.......orders. After watching this mess and I finally paid, our food came out about 20 mins later ( we decided to eat there ). As I already said, the place was not packed, plenty of seats to sit down. I understand problems happen, I do, but to stop taking orders.....that's your business...this place needs to get their goals in order very soon. Would not eat here again unless no...

First and foremost the food is EXCELLENT. However, the service is a clusterf*(%k. Today was mother's day. My 8 month old was in the car with my husband and i decide to go to the Market to pickup some items and eat at colt state park vs the waterfront facility which was SLAMMMED. There was only a few people actually ordering in person when i arrived. I had to wait 40 min for 2 jumbo lobster rolls (no cooking involved. Literally just lobster meat in a bun) which i paid 97 for after tax and tip. I could have had a more relaxing sit fown meal at a restaurantfor the same amountof time and similar price. The staff, while friendly, started doing all of the online orders before the actual orders for those of us in the facility in person. The order filling was completely unorganized. and imo the flow of the kitchen needs to be improved with a group focused for in house orders. A group for online orders. And in addition for checkout 2 separate lines for pickup and ordering. People who ordered online were in the dame line as people who ordering in person. It was a mess and i hope Blount figures it out for the rest of...
