Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Warrenton

UPDATE (5/5/21): Both the manager and owner reached out to me. They said my review led them to change the way they do business. I ordered food on the app today and they absolutely did! There is now a refrigerator at the counter where they keep the smoothies from online or call ahead orders. My smoothie today was fresh as could be. My thanks to management for the willingness to hear a customer and fix things. Top notch!

ORGINIAL REVIEW: Definitely NOT one of the better Tropical Smoothie stores. I typically eat at the Chantilly store near work but occasionally go to the Warrenton one near my house. The Warrenton store could learn a few things from the other one:

1. I order ahead on the app. Chantilly keeps made smoothies in a fridge so they stay cold. Warrenton leaves them on the counter and are melting by the time I get there.

2. You'd think I'd learn by now but make sure you check if there's a fork and napkins in your bag. I had no fork for my kale slaw and no napkins.

3. My most recent order was waiting on the counter (w/ smoothies already melting down). An employee asked me if I was there for pickup. I said my name and they said there wasn't a name written on it but I could just take what was there. I said what I ordered and was told, "I'm not sure what it is but you can just take it anyway. I don't care."

Again, I wish this store was as efficient and considerate as the Chantilly location (which has never messed up anything for me, always has napkins/forks, and never gives me a watered down...

Not the best. Dined in with my fiance and daughter. When we approached the counter the girl working the front took about 5 minutes to come take our orders. She just stood there and stared at us. We ordered food and smoothies. I always get the same smoothie but mine didn't taste right and was watered down. My 3 year old daughter said she wanted to throw hers in the trash because it didn't taste good. It tasted like watery chocolate. My fiance's chipotle chicken club sandwich had cold chicken like it had just come out of the fridge and it's supposed to be hot. I also asked for no tomatoes and buffalo chicken wrap was loaded with them. Genuinely I never have any issues with tropical smoothie and in the past I haven't had any at this location but I hadn't been in awhile. It just seemed like the staff didn't care to be there which sadly these days seems to be a common thing. After spending $38 I just expected a little more. We love tropical smoothie and I hope their staff...

Traveling through the area and I stopped by for a quick lunch to go to continue my last two hours on the road. Young lady taking orders was not friendly at all. I asked for extra Dijon sauce on the side and was never given it. She heard me because she asked if I wanted it on the sandwich or in a container. The sandwich I was given was so dry with barely and sauce on it. The sandwich was also ice cold. As for my smoothie it had no flavor and was so watered down. I waited a while for the bathroom to come open and when I walked in an employee just came out of the bathroom and it smelled like she was smoking cigarettes in the bathroom. Unhappy that as a customer I waited so long to use the bathroom just so an employee could have a smoke break. Disappointed in my experience at this tropical smoothie. I have visited this tropical smoothie a handful of times in the past but unfortunately I probably will not stop in on my way...
