So, we have never felt so ignored and insulting in any of the restaurants we have dined before. The guy at the counter who wasn't in the uniform( rest others were in black) didn't treat us respectfully yesterday. He greeted first made us sit at the table it went OK at the start but in a few minutes it went awful. I called him nicely twice coz I needed a highchair and he literally ignored and made a face and went to the next table to serve. He acted as if he didn't hear bur it happened twice!! Next again my husband called him and he AGAIN ignored and moved to serve ppl at other tables. Later he went on to ask other server to serve us who were great and atleast not ignoring and with a smile. This particular person had a problem the moment he saw us I suppose that's why he treated us this way or he simply hates Asians dining at the restaurant. If you don't want Asians to dine in at your restaurant you should simply mention. People come to dine only if they can afford to pay n eat and in return we expect a smile. Food was great no complains.. other staff were good except for this particular guy who ruined the whole experience for us at...
Read moreOutstanding. So I have been here twice. I was really excited to get an Indian restaurant in town. First time was for the lunch buffet. I will admit, I was underwhelmed. I am very much used to crowded ethnic restaurants where the lunch buffet is constantly turned over. Honestly a lunch buffet here does not work. They don't go through food fast enough to keep it fresh. Everything tasted okay but nothing special.
Dinner was another story. Everything was cooked perfectly. We had an order of the vegetable samosas. Slightly spicier than I expected. But they were delicious! My wife ordered the chicken tikka and I had the hymalyain chicken. Both our dishes were completely gone by the end of the meal. The server overheard us saying that the appetizer was spicier than we expected. He gave us a free dessert to help "cool it down."
A+ for service, A for food. I held one star back for the lunch buffet being unimpressive. Maybe if they develop a bigger lunch crowd that will turn around. We will be back many more times. If you have never been here do yourself a favor and...
Read moreThis was our first time here. We live out of the area and drove about 165 miles north (round trip) to meet friend who drove from Maryland (200 miles round trip). We all love Indian food. The ambiance was fine. I was surprised to find a baby cockroach on the table and this had me scanning the floors at times. The food was very good. The Gajar Halwa (Indian carrot dessert was a bit watery and not sweet). The Gulab jamun was very good, but not warmed enough. The kids said the Mango lassi was not as thick and cold as they are use to. There was a gentlemen waiter who coughed often and sounded sick and this concerned us. The staff also seemed to be in a hurry for us to go, although they did not close for another 30-40 minutes. They seemed to be doing the best they could, but not too interested in being there. We had a fine experience, but was hoping this restaurant would be one of our go to meeting places in Warrenton. We thank you and wish...
