So, we have never felt so ignored and insulting in any of the restaurants we have dined before. The guy at the counter who wasn't in the uniform( rest others were in black) didn't treat us respectfully yesterday. He greeted first made us sit at the table it went OK at the start but in a few minutes it went awful. I called him nicely twice coz I needed a highchair and he literally ignored and made a face and went to the next table to serve. He acted as if he didn't hear bur it happened twice!! Next again my husband called him and he AGAIN ignored and moved to serve ppl at other tables. Later he went on to ask other server to serve us who were great and atleast not ignoring and with a smile. This particular person had a problem the moment he saw us I suppose that's why he treated us this way or he simply hates Asians dining at the restaurant. If you don't want Asians to dine in at your restaurant you should simply mention. People come to dine only if they can afford to pay n eat and in return we expect a smile. Food was great no complains.. other staff were good except for this particular guy who ruined the whole experience for us at...

Outstanding. So I have been here twice. I was really excited to get an Indian restaurant in town. First time was for the lunch buffet. I will admit, I was underwhelmed. I am very much used to crowded ethnic restaurants where the lunch buffet is constantly turned over. Honestly a lunch buffet here does not work. They don't go through food fast enough to keep it fresh. Everything tasted okay but nothing special.

Dinner was another story. Everything was cooked perfectly. We had an order of the vegetable samosas. Slightly spicier than I expected. But they were delicious! My wife ordered the chicken tikka and I had the hymalyain chicken. Both our dishes were completely gone by the end of the meal. The server overheard us saying that the appetizer was spicier than we expected. He gave us a free dessert to help "cool it down."

A+ for service, A for food. I held one star back for the lunch buffet being unimpressive. Maybe if they develop a bigger lunch crowd that will turn around. We will be back many more times. If you have never been here do yourself a favor and...

This was our first time here. We live out of the area and drove about 165 miles north (round trip) to meet friend who drove from Maryland (200 miles round trip). We all love Indian food. The ambiance was fine. I was surprised to find a baby cockroach on the table and this had me scanning the floors at times. The food was very good. The Gajar Halwa (Indian carrot dessert was a bit watery and not sweet). The Gulab jamun was very good, but not warmed enough. The kids said the Mango lassi was not as thick and cold as they are use to. There was a gentlemen waiter who coughed often and sounded sick and this concerned us. The staff also seemed to be in a hurry for us to go, although they did not close for another 30-40 minutes. They seemed to be doing the best they could, but not too interested in being there. We had a fine experience, but was hoping this restaurant would be one of our go to meeting places in Warrenton. We thank you and wish...

I decided to go for lunch alone today and felt for Indian food. I picked TAJ Palace Indian cuisine because it was the nearest Indian restaurant. I was not disappointed since I have been to India and have eaten authentic Indian food. The restaurant was quaint. Perfect for me as I dined alone. The background music was pleasing. The staff was pleasant and kept asking whether all was well. I enjoyed the Indian spices and flavors of the condiments, to the tandoori shrimp to the garlic naan. The menu is extensive. I have my eye on the lentil soup for next time. While I had a cranberry juice, next time I do look forward to having a more exotic cocktail since I did notice a full bar. Probably even trying some dessert - I do not recall seeing on the menu and no one seemed to mention once I completed my meal. All in all - I will return with my family! So happy to have found this little gem!

23 Oct 2022: solo dinner on the way back from Shenandoah as I craved Indian food after 2 days of intense hiking ($60). Ordered guava juice, tequila, grenadine based drink, which was soon accompanied with fried papad/chutney. Next, lassi and rum based drink. Both were good. For appetizers came gobhi manchurian, pretty good. For entree ordered Nepali aaloo gobhi. Everything was nice. The interiors are good for dining in. Had a nice conversation with Prakash. Pleasant experience. Recommendation: yes!

The Indian food I’d tried before was too curry-heavy for my taste, so I’d pretty much given up on it—until I interviewed the owner of Taj Palace Indian Cuisine in Warrenton for the paper. I got to sample some amazing drinks (the best chai tea I’ve ever had and a mango lassi, a whipped mango-and-yogurt drink) plus dishes like vegetable pakora, cauliflower manchurian, chicken malai tikka, Taj butter chicken, shahi paneer, and naan. Everything was fabulous—highly recommend!
