It’s Sisters, a charming, immaculate, authentic Chinese restaurant in the heart of Apponaug at 3301 Post Road.
Take a moment to stop in.
My spouse and I have high standards for Chinese and Asian cuisine and Sisters has not disappointed any of our take-out orders. Generous portions, sustainable packaging, fast and efficient service, and have I mentioned the food!?
From appetizers to main course – excellent. Crispy and fresh egg rolls and spring rolls (vegetarian rolls). Wonton soup the way we remember – lots of wontons, fresh pieces of pork and greens, with a homey broth. Spot on chicken fingers. Seriously good subgum chow mein. Kung Pao chicken with the perfect pow. Fried rice with crunch from bamboo shoots, prepared fresh and imbued with flavor. For the kid in all of us, classic French fries. Combination platters (lunch or dinner) will require a container for leftovers.
Sisters - overall, you’re getting great value and...
Read moreI swear people don’t kno anything when it comes to good for or maybe im done wrong when I call in food as a black man! I’m disappointed so many times that it’s ridiculous! I’m sure one of the sisters here sold me reheated boneless ribs!! I kno the difference between overcooked and re-cooked!! The texture never lies! It’s the same as re- dropped French fries! I also ordered fried chicken wings , which are not breaded!! That should be explained to a customer when they’re placing their order! I craved breaded chicken wings and tender boneless ribs to which neither of that I received!! My $25 gone down the drain! I’m also getting a soapy taste from the rice!! My guess is they put cilantro into the rice!! Cilantro is something I’ve never liked because of that soapy taste!!! I have to call my bank and dispute this transaction 😡😡! Literally ended up ordering from New Asia House. Not exactly the best seasoned but definitely way more tender boneless ribs!! And no...

Summary: It's a nice surprise when you come across a new local Chinese restaurant. I found this place from browsing online & was pleasantly surprised. Our food was very good & served quickly. All of the dishes looked nice.
I enjoyed the wings, chicken fingers, beef teriyaki, General Tao chicken , Kung Pow chicken, and the chicken fried rice was decent.
Everything tasted fresh with good flavor. The sisters are very sweet & kind hearted people. I wish the dishes had a little bit more seasoning, spice & bold flavor. Sort of difficult to park on the street. This is a nice place to visit for a lunch combo, dinner & takeout. A little bit better than average for the area. Looking forward to trying...
