Compared to the other El Rancho Grandes, this was mediocre at best. Our mother is in a wheelchair and all of the other El Rancho Grandes we've been to have been very accommodating and helpful. We walked in and immediately the atmosphere was not good. The host seemed annoyed by our presence but took us to a table and didn't even remove a chair for my handicapped mother. We've never been to this location so we weren't sure where to put the chair so it wouldn't get in the way. The other El Rancho Grandes we've been to have always pulled out the chair and made sure my mother was comfortable and wasn't in the way of anything. Our server came over and again seemed annoyed with our presence and quickly got our drink order then disappeared. We got a small queso and when they brought it out, the dish was cracked. As somebody who works in food service, if a dish is cracked it immediately gets thrown away cause it can quickly grow bacteria in the crevices. Another person brought us our drinks and finally our server came back over and got our food order. Once our food arrived everything seemed fine until I tasted mine. I got the fajita rancheras which is my go to at our other El Rancho grande. This time the meat has a slight bitter taste to it so i avoided eating it, they put a huge amount of ciltantro on it to the point where i had a pile of it on the side of my plate. The food was lackluster compared to the other El Rancho Grandes and the service was worse. Overall, was not impressed and will not come back to...
Read moreWe went for our anniversary and were recommended this eatery by family who live in town. There was so much natural light in the venue, lots of large foliage and brightly colored walls. The music was lively and upbeat. The pina colada and strawberry daiquiri were wonderfully balanced and delicious. I got the Molcajete and it was absolutely incredible. I recommend stirring in the cheese so it melts and bubbles with the juices and to dip the meat in the sauce it creates. It’s hot so be careful not to touch the container. My husband got a burrito that came with a Mexican flag overlay of sauce colors and different flavors. It was a good size and he said it was wonderful. Our only bad experience was our staff availability. Our waiter was very friendly when we arrived but seemed to disappear when we stopped ordering drinks/food. We didn’t get a single refill of our regular drinks and it was hard to place the order for dessert or get the check to leave. In their defense things happen, and I hope everything was ok, but it was uncomfortable being unable to locate help for water or to search for someone to order dessert and even waiting a long time for our check. Overall, it was a great experience and we would be very happy to go back or recommend El Rancho to anyone looking for a fun and delicious...
Read moreMy daughter and granddaughter took my husband and I to the Miamisburg Centerville Road location. It was about 5pm on a Friday night. We were seated right away. Our orders came and half was missing. Ordered black beans and was given refried pintos. Asked for cheese, lettuce, and sour cream. None of that was brought out without asking twice. Granddaughter's food took 20 minutes longer than every one else's and she had to sit there watching us eat. When it did come parts of it were burnt black. The waitress was missing in action most of the meal and the manager brought out all the food. The tamale was awful. The enchilada was dismal. When you ask for shredded lettuce you're given chopped. It took ages to get the check and when the waitress finally showed up we asked if we could use a gift card and a coupon on the same check and were told were told we could but the cashier insisted we couldn't. The manager when told of the situation allowed us to use both but when told of the time waited, the mistakes, and the quality of the food.....had no remedy to offer. WE WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO EL RANCHO GRANDE AT...
