Rapid Fired Pizza — Restaurant in Washington Township

I was one of the very first customers ever for this store. I have been frequenting at least once a month ever since they opened. I enjoyed the fact that my son, who has a Gluten Allergy, could get a nice pizza here without worrying about cross contamination. Recently I placed an online order for pickup. I triple checked the order and then asked my son to pick it up. When he got there he followed the standard directions and texted the store to let him know he was there for pick at the assigned time. He received a text back saying they would be right out with the order. After 30 minutes of waiting, we went inside to see what was going on. He was told that the store was closed. He turned around and pointed to the open sign, which was lit, and said he had an order for pickup that had been paid for and he had received text confirmation on. He was told that the store was closed because there was no one experienced and every employee was new. My son repeated that he had a paid order and after some discussion they said they would make the order and bring it out. My son went back outside and waited in his car. After 15 more minutes he went back inside and after asking, they gave him the order. When he got back home, we discovered the order was wrong. I immediately tried to call the store and there was no answer. I went to the corp website and used the contact us page to ask for someone to call me and that I wanted my money back and an apology. After waiting several days, hearing nothing, I went into the store and asked to speak to the manager on duty. He took my name and number and said someone would be in touch. Rapid fired is always a quick, enjoyable stop for a little pizza in a fast casual environment. I like their thin crust pizza and often have the "Magic Mushroom" or the Hawaiian. I also enjoy their food selection of craft beer, and the choices of sauces. You can choose from several sauce options for the pizza itself, including the mild red and spicy red sauce, as well as a white sauce - I've liked all of these, depending on toppings and mood. They also add dipping sauces available to use while eating your pizza, which are an interesting addition to the overall experience. I like the Sweet Habanero sauce(fairly mild), which I usually mix with another sauce to add some zing. Either way, it's fun to experiment with dipping combinations. They also have Pepsi soft drinks, which is a plus for me.

We also enjoy their salads, though some have become a little strange on a few salad options lately with the romaine ban. Definitely ask them to use something other than iceberg lettuce if you can. They make them up ahead and have them in a case by the register, but only a few-you usually will have to ask them to make you one.

The minuses? Crust is good, but not the best of any pizza place. If can be a bit slow when busy, as you are standing in line to slowly place your order - order online to avoid that. It can be a little hard to hear if they are calling your name when the pizza is done. The atmosphere is a decent fast casual style place, which can sometimes be a little noisy. That's about it. Two terrible experiences at this location. First time having rapid fired since covid kicked off, ordered and arrived just at the time on my online order. Texted the number listed on the website with no response. Texted the number located on a sign outside, received no response. Sat in the lot for 25-30 minutes, someone finally brought out my food.

Second time, ordered around 8:20pm with a pickup time of 8:40pm, had a couple quick things to do, made a stop on the way. Knowing the last time, I ended up arriving at 8:55pm. My friend texted the number on the website, which was the wrong number again. Texted the number on the sign at 9:01pm, was told to put my hazards on. Sat there until 9:20pm where I finally decided to leave and will call them to complain. Absolutely horrible customer service. I saw someone leave the building with pizzas in hand and get into the passenger seat of a car that arrived after we did. For all I know, that was my food. I will never visit this location again.
