I’ve grown up with this restaurant. My family orders here at least once or twice a month from here. I’m upset that they do because over the last ten years, this place has stayed more or less the same. It hasn’t improved at all or gotten worse. But the million dollar question is, how does a restaurant that serves spicy Indian food not even offer a bathroom for its customers? They have sign highlighting the bathroom is for employees only. I spent $43 but thankfully I ordered takeout. I purchased an order of Chicken Makahni, 5 Parathas, and a masala dosa. With those type of prices, this restaurant can more than afford a restroom for the type of prices it charges. As an Indian, this restaurant ironically contributes to our own racism and the stereotype of Indian people being penny pinchers. This truly is highlighted by the paper plates, plastic forks, plastic spoons, overall service and lack of restroom. It feels like this place is shooting to be the first Indian McDonalds. All the food tasted amazing, but the portions were absolutely nuts. I paid $16.99 for the chicken Makhani and there was like a total of 10 small chicken chunks in there, the rest of it was just gravy. It seems to me that people on here that leave five star reviews are the people who are not familiar with Indian food. The Indian community within these reviews knows that this place is actually mediocre. I wouldn’t be surprised if these guys target exclusively white Americans for a boost in their review scores for when they...
Read moreI drove 40 minutes to try your food because a friend recommended your restaurant — and this is the kind of service I get? I told your employee twice that I was okay waiting 20–25 minutes. She claimed there were only two people in the back and she couldn’t make it, but I saw at least five staff clearly working.
The reason I left a review in the first place was to give you feedback — to make you aware of what happened, thinking you’d take it seriously and maybe try to improve. I wasn’t expecting an apology, but I also didn’t expect such childish, unprofessional behavior from an owner. Instead of accepting responsibility or even being remotely respectful, you doubled down and called me a liar.
You’re not defending your business — you’re just exposing your ego and lack of leadership. No etiquette, no class, and definitely no understanding of customer service.
To be honest, I was going to delete my review after your response. I know how much reviews can impact a business — I’m a businessman myself. But after the way you chose to handle it, you don’t deserve the benefit of the doubt.
Work on yourself before blaming every unhappy customer. Because this isn’t how a serious business...
Read moreThis place is really close to us, yet we haven’t been there in over 3 years! Finally, we went there this weekend, a small cute place which is specifically for take out but they have enough space for dine-in as well. Like the fact that its mostly self service kinda place, you do get your order served by the staff.
We ordered chhole bhature and egg curry with naan! Both of these did not disappoint. The bhatura were one of the best I had eaten in the US till now. Fluffy yet soft, not too chewy (though they are extremely heavy). Chhole were good I would say, the chickpeas were still a bit hard and the sauce was overly tangy! But the combo tasted fine.
Egg curry was more like a egg version of navratran korma, it was too creamy and sweet. Overall taste was fine but wasn’t as egg curry is expected to be, little red and balanced spices, non sweet.
Despite all these, the overall taste was great. The portions were large so that’s one good thing. Staff is friendly and polite too. Loved the place, would go again to try other dishes. By far, the best Indian restaurant in...
