Milky Way Matcha Bar — Restaurant in Washington Township

Once I heard that a matcha bar was dropping in the heart of Bridge Park - I had to make a stop. They operate out of a hand-through window, with inside ordering as well. There’s a ton of patio seating as well as inside seating to hang out while you sip your matcha and snack on the best (and probably only) freshly made Taiyaki available in Columbus. They have coffee beverages, onigiri, and a few other treats too - but the matcha was the star. I’m obsessed with the Cosmic Matcha (lavender infused iced matcha latte). They really put care into their beverages here. Also interesting, they pride themselves on organic and ceremonial grade ingredients (on their website) - nice to see that a local business takes into consideration...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Milky Way Matcha is hands down the BEST matcha spot I’ve ever been to! The quality of their matcha is unmatched—so smooth, rich, and just the right balance of earthy and sweet. Every sip is a treat!

On top of that, their customer service is genuinely amazing. A special shoutout to Kenneth, who truly went above and beyond for me. I arrived about 5 minutes after closing, absolutely craving matcha, and instead of turning me away, he kindly let me place my order and made it with so much care. That kind of kindness and dedication is rare and so appreciated!

I stumbled onto this place while looking online for coffee and I was lucky to find it because it is an extension of Fukuryu Ramen. They have a scannable menu at the bottom of their little to-go window with very few, but very good-sounding drink options. The drinks are aesthetically beautiful and look like they were made with love and magic. I ordered the lavender haze and the strawberry supernova, and holy cow were they good. The lavender has a heavenly cloud foam on top and the supernova has aromatic house-made strawberry purée inside. The drinks did take longer than a normal drink to be made but I can see why. This might be my go-to...
