This was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. So I come in during Happy Hour to order Sushi, and instead of putting me with the other patrons, because there were empty tables, they put me in the section of the restaurant closest to the kitchen, where staff members were eating their meals. I should've left because I felt racially profiled as I was the only black patron in the restaurant, but I wanted to look past it. They seat me by myself and I'm left waiting for over 5 minutes for my waitress. She finally arrives and I order a water. She brings me a glass of water and disappears for another 10 minutes. Because I'm ready to order, I flag down the host, and tell him that I'm ready to order and I haven't seen my waitress since she dropped off the water. He says the restaurant is very busy and that she is serving multiple tables. But the restaurant was half empty when I walked in. Then the waitress comes back and takes my order. All I order is Sushi, and she informs me that it'll be a 5-7 minute wait on the Sushi. 15 minutes pass, and still no food and the waitress hasn't even come to check on me or give me an update. I flag down the hosts again and tell him my dissatisfaction with the long wait time as well as where they sat me in the restaurant away from other patrons. He brushes this off saying they are very busy. Then my food comes, which was okay, but this poor customer service was enough to ruin the experience. I ate my meal and paid the bill shortly thereafter. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. They don't value patrons, and if you're black, just be prepared that you might be treated...
Read moreThe food and service were both very good, and the place appeared to be clean and well-maintained. We had members of our party with food allergies and food sensitivities, and our waitress was competent in checking with the kitchen staff to make sure our selections were safe, which entailed making a couple of substitutions. Of my meal, I especially liked the salad and the dressing that tasted like pineapple juice. The onions in the steak hibachi dish were especially sweet and gave a wonderful flavor to the whole dish. The kung pao chicken was good and especially spicy. The adult member of our party who ordered the General Tso's Chicken typically likes his dishes very spicy. Of this particular dish, he said the spiciness was adequate enough to give a decent kick to it. I was told that the 3 Cup Chicken, consisting of chicken, onions, mushrooms, carrots & fresh basil in a brown sauce, was really good. We did not find a children's menu, but both of the kids found items that appealed to them. One ordered steamed dumplings. The other, an 11-yo, ordered General Tso's Chicken from the adult menu (it was not too spicy for him) and had enough leftovers for another meal. In fact, 4 of the 6 of us had leftovers. For a party of 6 (4 adults & 2 children), our meal was a little over $100. We left with full bellies and pleasantly satisfied. We would consider returning again...
Read moreI’ve been coming to Blue Ginger for over a decade now and finally thought to leave a review for the years of great service they have given!
These pictures are just my most recent meals, but I’ve been lucky to try almost every dish on their menu and everything thing is phenomenal and my favorites are always consistent.
My last meal I had Crispy Red Snapper: I order this almost every time and it is my favorite and what I think is one of their very best dishes! Crispy, a little spicy, always delicious, full of complimentary flavors. Fire Wok (pictured): Thai curry lobster, shrimp, scallops and more. All of the seafood is given in hearty and plentiful amounts. It’s a pretty spicy one, but I couldn’t stop eating it! Delicious. Octopus sashimi: I order this every time, and every time it is fresh, perfect consistency, plated beautifully. Thai Spring Rolls: I could eat a bucket of these. Crispy on the outside, packed full on the inside.
Always a great meal with quick, professional service and in probably over fifty meals at least here, I don’t think they have ever once screwed up an order—which is insane, because we’re all human and it happens but wow, they are on point!
Thanks Blue Ginger, for always being solid and yummy. I look forward to my birthday Sushi Boat...
