Learn moreWhat an absolutely stunning rooftop bar and restaurant - where the views, vibes, service and menu selections are ALL outstanding!
I took the opportunity to visit during Restaurant Week, and Chef Adrian truly created a masterpiece of a tasting menu!
The Wagyu forward menu was 5 courses of gastronomic masterpieces… Which ranged from Wagyu Tartare, to Oysters with wagyu wasabi oil and Wagyu ponzu jelly 🥹 - and what really blew me away was the creatively with the dessert… Wagyu ice cream with Wagyu fat cookie!
You have literally (very likely) never had a menu as uniquely crafted as this. I went with the Resturant Week Sake Pairing, which I felt REALLY elevated the entire experience.
The service was amazing - as each course was brought out, a detailed explanation of everything for each course was provided. Which definitely helped to add the Japanese Gokan style of eating, where all of the five senses are considered while eating.
I would definitely recommend visiting this beautiful rooftop bar and restaurant. The views outside are absolutely stunning; and I cannot wait to go back when it’s a little warmer for the full...
Read moreHad high hopes for this rooftop bar, but it is so absurdly overpriced. Wines run $15 - $30/glass which would be fine given the location/view, but they’re almost all below average Spanish wines that retail for $12/bottle.
Also, they serve their drinks in plastic cups. No place charging this much for a glass of wine (I paid $20 for a glass of Cava) should come in a plastic cup. From the aesthetic/decor, it’s clear that they’re going for an upscale/trendy vibe, so why skimp on the glassware?
Lastly, the automatic 20% service fee is so frustrating for a place like this. It’s one thing at a standard restaurant where I would happily tip a server 20% or more. But an automatic 20% at a bar? Since when does pouring me a simple glass of wine merit that much of a tip?
In the end, this place is only good for a quick view of the Capitol building. Beyond that, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone living in or...
Read moreLet’s start with the good: the food is actually great. Seriously, compliments to the chef. But unfortunately, you’ll have to fight to even get a table to enjoy it. Our reservation was canceled twice, and we were finally seated at 9:30 PM—because nothing says “fine dining” like eating at almost 10 o’clock at night.
To add to the experience, there was a party happening right next to us. The music itself wasn’t too loud, but the overall noise level was ridiculous—a constant hum of shouting, laughter, and general chaos. If you’re hoping for an intimate dinner, forget it. You’ll spend most of the night struggling to hear the person across from you.
So, if you’re in the mood for delicious food with a side of confusion and inconvenience, this is your spot! Just don’t expect peace, quiet, or reliable...
