Read moreI stopped in because I saw they had a Butterscotch Blondie that I wanted to try. Needless to say that they were sold out. I wanted a refund, however, I couldn't receive that without providing my information starting with my phone number. I didn't need my phone number to pay for the items, so why must I give my number to receive a refund? This place is a "Card Only" establishment and if I were able to pay with cash, I could've received my refund, however since they aren't a business that receives cash, I had to get an additional item in place of receiving my money back.
The cashier was nice but I could tell that she was flustered with trying to give me a refund. She desperately tried to suggest other items, however, I'm a very particular person and I want what I paid for, they didn't have it, so I wanted my money back. The Butterscotch Blondie and the cookies costs $14+ for 2 items.
I honestly don't care what a place looks like when my money is on the line and I can't get it back. All I can tell you is that this is a small, overpriced shop. 1 bag of cookies costs $9.00 dollars. I've never paid $3.00 bucks for a single cookie a day in my life until yesterday. The worst part is the cookies aren't that great!! I make better, tastier cookies at home. I just wanted something sweet really quick without the hassle of baking. I would rather bake from now on. My husband had the same reaction as me although he said, "The cookie smells good."
I looked at the prices of other items as well and a Cobb Salad is $15.00 bucks!! These people are out of their minds!!! I won't be going here again. Y'all take your chances if you want...
Read moreI had read an article on Eater about this place and so we went to check it out on our vacay. The decor was lovely and very relaxing! Lots of light and fresh air coming in. We ordered the April drink special which was the lavender coconut cold brew and I was blown away by how good it was. It was so refreshing and not too overpowering! I ordered the avocado toast and a chocolate croissant. It was sooo much avocado but not enough toast, which quite frankly I never thought I’d say. It needed some kind of drizzle or some more espelette on top. It was good but just needed something a little more. My two friends ordered the baked eggs with vegetables and were disappointed at first but the more they had they ended up enjoying it. I was disappointed on the chocolate croissant. It tasted like it came pre baked form the freezer, there were no “crunchy layers” as a croissant usually has. It was more of a bready Danish type of dough. We also bought the mudslide cookies and the April special coconut shortbread cookies (both in a pack of 3) to take on the go. Both of the cookies were great but the real winner was the coconut shortbread!! It was amazing! The employees in there all seemed like they didn’t want to be there and had no interest in the job. The employee taking our order had no idea about the lavender coconut cold brew special at first. It was also fairly pricey for the portion sizes. The best thing was the two...
