Souvenir City — Local services in Washington

my daughter went to DC on a school trip - they went to this store to get souvenir. when she approached the cash register to pay for a hat with a credit card - the lady literally threw the card back at her saying the card was declined!!! I called the credit card company Capital One and was told the credit card was never swiped at this store!! I am mentioning this credit card company because if the card is use and declined they send an email stating the place it was swiped in and the reason it was declined!! SHAME ON THIS STORE FOR EMBARRASSING MY DAUGHTER FOR NO REASON!! I HOPE THIS STORE GOES OUT OF BUSINESS!!!!...

Feels like a warehouse when you first come in. Greeted by two younger girls who provides a nice coupon. Prices were very fair. I had gone to a few souvenir shops, and this one seems to be the most competitively priced. They had a decent variety with a large amount of tshirts and other apparel as well as a large amount of coffee mugs. Took off one star because it seems they may have a deal with a tour company. As I was shopping on two different days there were buses that stopped and overflowed the store making it difficult...

Convenient location for bus groups, with a wide selection of gifts and souvenirs. They also carry snacks, soda, water, batteries, film. They have been in business for 35 years, and have everything you can find at all the other shops (like the ones near Ford's Theater), but it's nice to be able to stop, park, shop, and then get back to your sight-seeing.
