Found this little "hole in the wall" and was not disappointed at all.
Food: Ordered a few things to get an overall feel of the food. They believe in allowing the customer to eat with their eyes first- I also believe in this as well as using my nose first. When a dish looks and smells just as amazing as it tastes, then that dish becomes a winner in my book.
The poke bowl is amazing, I would suggest less water when making the rice because the rice was unappealing, but the quality and taste of our bowl made up for that completely. The crepes are absolutely divine. The sweet ones we tried are not overly sweet and have a nice balance. The savory one we tried (Nights at the Riviera) had us wanting to save it because it was just that good; Absolutely delicious.
We had two martinis, the Butterscotch and the Peanut Butter Espresso. They are also delicious and well balanced.
All in all- everything had us wanting to order more. Just outstanding, which is hard to find these days.
Atmosphere: While the restaurant is smaller, there are some outside seatings that open up the restaurant and the overall vibe. With an amazing view of the waterfront and the gorgeous sunsets.
Service: They are all very friendly and eager to meet the qualifications of good customer service.
I hope to come back...
Read moreVery, very slow service, especially for lunch, but our server was friendly. Our table of 5 was one of only two tables occupied when we arrived at 11am for lunch service. We ordered from the limited drink menu and four of our drinks took around 20 minutes and the 5th another 10 minutes. My requested glass of water arrived sometime after that (was ordered with other drinks). Food arrived for 2 people after about 40 minutes, and the other 3 about 10 minutes later. Aren’t all guests’ meals generally served at the same time? Drinks were very beautiful, but mine was served in a tall champagne flute-type glass and was poorly mixed. All the alcohol was in the bottom. Food was small-ish portions and only okay although the presentation was very nice. My “Lunch in Nice” crepe was under-filled and more like a quesadilla than a crepe. The menu stated, “Chèvre cheese, spinach, honey, shaved almonds” but the only thing inside the crepe was cheese. The raw spinach was on top and the honey and shaved almonds were drizzled on the plate. It was over-cooked and a bit crispy. To top it off, I was over-charged by $1.50 for the crepe (just realized that looking back at the menu).
I enjoyed the lunch company very much, but can’t recommend...
Read moreOverpriced and very underwhelming. The ham and cheese crepe was flavorless and tasted like boiled ham. The crepe was undercooked and doughy. The portion was small buried under a ton of lettuce. Took fifteen minutes to get our drinks. Staff was busy hanging out and talking by the front counter. Beer was warm. Bloody mary was not as advertised, was not informed they were missing ingredients until i asked and the celery was Brown. Was not checked on once after receiving our food. Had to walk in and ask for the check. And they were not busy, there was only two other tables. Very disappointed. Don’t...
