We spent a week in DC and stayed at a nearby hotel. We stumbled upon this place four days in (unfortunately we missed four delicious days). Despite the hotel offering a free breakfast, we chose to dine at Bread Me every single day upon discovery. Every single day our order was outstanding. Coffee drinks were consistent, incredibly smooth and prepared to my request. Boba drinks were balanced, with a multitude of boba options (popping & chewy) - really customizable! That too was a daily order as well. Bagels, I don’t know where they get the bagels, but they are phenomenal. They are toasted to perfection, light crunch outside, fluffy inside, and the cream cheese spreads to the edge of the bagel, not plopped in the middle like most places. Let’s talk about the croffle. It is a delicious croissant dough prepared in a waffle maker with a light caramelized glaze for the perfect crunch texture. We came too late one morning and they were out, talk about fresh!!! So sad, so the following day we made up for it by getting TWO. If you have not tried one, please do yourself a favor and treat yo’self to this delicious pastry. If you catch yourself eyeballing the sandwiches, get one, or two. So many people would pop in and grab one to go, so I gave the maple turkey a try. What a fantastic combination of flavors to elevate the profile of what was once just a “regular sandwich”. If the owner(s) ever wish to have a location in our state - I’ll be here to help! If you’re local to the neighborhood or even a short drive away, I suggest you stop by. Remember to support local businesses, especially when they’re elevating the game in...
Read moreI was looking forward to a cafe coming locally to this neighborhood, but unfortunately this one turned out to be a disappointment. First of all I believe that when you walk into a food cafe especially a bakery the smell should make you want to buy the pastries. This is the first thing that I would like to point out, when you walk into this cafe it smells like a wet mop that wasn’t properly cleaned and certainly not like a bakery. I ordered a bulgogi panini which had globs and I mean globs of mayonnaise which made the sandwich drip with fat, the other sandwich I tried there was a chicken ceasar wrap, which hardly had any chicken but mostly a bunch of croutons with the dressing in a wrap. The muffins taste like they were purchased in a store and definitely not freshly baked. I don’t like to write negative reviews especially for small businesses but I do believe in writing honest reviews. A place that called itself a boulangerie should try harder to actually earn the name. There are places in this neighborhood that offer really great tasting bakery items, better sandwiches and better coffee. I would...
Read moreA Hidden Gem Worth Visiting Again and Again!
I happened to be parking nearby when I stumbled upon this hidden gem—and I’m so glad I did! From the moment we walked in, Josh, our Barista, greeted my Aunt and me with such warmth and professionalism. His energy truly set the tone for our entire visit.
Yesenia, their amazing Sandwich Artist, makes the best Maple Turkey Cranberry Sandwiches I’ve ever had! My Aunt tried the Turkey Club and the Tuna Melt, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. We were thrilled to see they use Boar’s Head meats—quality you can taste.
I enjoyed the refreshing Matcha Milk Teas while my Aunt loved their freshly brewed coffee. We ended up coming back every single day of our stay! Their breakfast platter is a must-try, and don’t even get me started on the freshly baked muffins and chocolate chip cookies—pure perfection.
There’s a wide variety of breakfast and lunch options, so there’s truly something for everyone. Huge shoutout to Josh and Yesenia—we’ll definitely be seeing you...
