looked promising, esp given the location. unfortunately, we didnt have a great experience. pros: - great location - staff seemed like nice people cons: - kiosk only, no human cashier. this isnt great because some customers were having trouble figuring out how to work the kiosk. - poor store layout. relative to the entrance/exit, the placement of the menu displays, two kiosks, and drink pickup area were not well thought out. people waiting for their drinks and people waiting in line for the kiosks were stepping all over each other. - long wait time. 1) not enough manpower to keep up with orders. 2) no staff available to help customers who didnt know how to use the kiosk, so people took a long time trying to place their orders. - drinks came out in a weird order. i ordered 2 drinks, then my friend ordered 2 drinks immediately after me. i received one of my drinks, then my friend received one of her drinks, then the people who ordered before me received both of their drinks, then my friend received her 2nd drink, then i received my 2nd drink. strange timing. - poor quality drinks. the hot sea salt coffee come out room temp. the hot ginger milk tea came out as just ginger tea (forgot the milk?). we brought it to their attention and they said they'd remake the drink. to remake the drink, they simply poured out some of the ginger tea and added some cold milk. we ended up with room temp watered down milk with a hint of ginger. we also ordered the yuzu green tea with regular ice and regular sweetness level, but they seemed to have forgotten the yuzu and the sugar. it was really only sweetened by the lychee jelly add-on. maybe i had it wrong and "regular" = unsweetened? could be... - "Jesus is sweet" sticker on the drink...strange. maybe this isnt a con, but i wouldnt call it a pro either. just strange. too bad. we would have wanted to try their food (esp the onigiri), but now, maybe not.

Ok, talking from someone who has patronized E-Tea from the beginning, even before you could adjust the ice and sugar level. In the beginning, the fruit teas were great, now not so much. I ordered from them often through the Uber Eats app, the teas have gotten so bad that this time, I actually called them before they made and delivered my teas today, just to make sure that it was going to be done right and to complain about past teas bought . The ice and sugar levels on the app don't mean a thing to them. Yesterday, I ordered two strawberry teas and two dragon fruit teas, the dragon fruit teas were very delicious and the strawberry teas tasted terrible, I noticed that if you order your teas with pops in them, they're sweet, but if you order teas without any pops, they're just the opposite, the strawberry teas tasted like they just boiled it and poured it straight into the cup, there was no sugar in it at all. So, as I was saying, I ordered the strawberry teas once again and the blueberry black teas (they have a bogo special) from them today and called them to make sure that they were going to be done right, so far the blueberry tea is sweet, but not at the level of sugar that I chose. Right now, I'm just happy that it has some sugar in it, I haven't tried the strawberry tea yet and I also, didn't order pops with it just to see if it's going to be sweet on its own. We don't have much of a choice here in DC and Sharetea is not all that great either and it's expensive, I'm crossing my fingers and will update later after tasting the strawberry tea.

Another impromptu stop while leaving The wharf. We wanted coffee but for some reason decided to stop here instead of backtracking to the coffee shop.... Ironically, this is mostly a tea place and we wanted a hot coffee drink! But I should have known better than to order a hot drink with oat milk from a tea place. Everyone place their own orders using the self-service kiosk. They had some very cool and pretty looking drinks and desserts. Ultimately, I decided to order a coffee drink......I chose the hot tiramisu oat latte. What was I thinking!??? I watched the employee make the beverage.. he used powdered oat (milk??), a few drips of watered down coffee and a few other drips and drops of other things. And voila! An awful hot powdery beverage!! Customer service was pretty much non-existent. As soon as we walked in, there was no greeting of any sort. No one took orders at the counter...it was strictly orders place at the kiosk. Even when handing the orders, there was no "enjoy your beverage!" I loved the E.T. theme, wall art and cup decoration. Would I return? No most likely not.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Etea Bubble Tea Shop, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! Now, let me tell you about the star of the show—the Tiramisu Milk Tea. Oh my goodness, it was a taste sensation! The blend of rich, velvety milk tea with the delicate notes of tiramisu created a heavenly concoction that instantly transported me to dessert paradise. The balance of flavors was perfect, and the tapioca pearls added a delightful chewiness to each sip. I couldn't get enough of it! In addition to the amazing bubble tea, I also had the pleasure of trying their Tuna Onigiri. The first bite was an explosion of flavors! The tender and flavorful tuna combined with the perfectly seasoned rice, wrapped in a sheet of crispy seaweed—it was pure bliss. The portion size was generous, making it a satisfying snack that left me craving for more. The overall experience at Etea Bubble Tea Shop was exceptional. The attention to detail in both taste and presentation was evident in every sip and bite. The staff members were attentive, knowledgeable, and their genuine passion for what they do truly shines through. I highly recommend Etea Bubble Tea Shop to all bubble tea enthusiasts and food lovers alike. Their Tiramisu Milk Tea and Tuna Onigiri were absolute winners in my book! I cannot wait to revisit this gem of a place and explore more of their...
